The young soul

People may say what they want about me, sad thing is they don't really know me
In my life there has been pain, it'd be better if I was a girl named Jane
Through life I've learned you are truly alone, no one to really hold, none will last forever
My name is Dominique
I know who I am and what I am capable of
I was raised well and all by my nana's loving self
January 15 at 6:45 this young soul lost the love of her life
by God's grace I survive and I strive
Do not ask me why because I do not know why
This young soul will remain through the toughness and pain
This young soul was created to be strong I suppose
I am a sad soul
I am a lost soul
I am a young soul

Bullets have no feelings
No use in kneeling
Nobody cares that matters.
They never count
The bones that shatter,
The blood that splatters
The lives they ruin.
They don’t know what they’re doing.
They’re thinking with their wallets.
Lining their overstuffed pockets,
They reward their own efforts
Then get together and do the same
For others with too much fame
And too little conscience;
No pity to share,
They don’t care.
We are not there
To them.

Their anthem
Is gouge, overcharge
Fill up a barge with gold.
This graft never grows old
When you are on the receiving end.
Millions to donate? You are a friend.
No riches to date? You are forgotten,
A loser, a user, misbegotten
And no concern of those
With a spoon in their nose
And riches to spend
On a war that never ends
And makes them more and more.
And secret bank accounts don’t score
With the IRS or with the detectives;
As long as our county is defective
They will continue to win.
Again and again.

If you object to this
You need to at least kiss
The ***** of some politicians
Who won’t see their petitions
Ignored, as always before
When someone denounced
The smallest ounce
Of corruption and payoffs
Paid to overpaid jerkoffs
Who are turning our leadership
Into a high-priced sinking ship
Of fools and criminals
Claiming to be intellectuals
When really they are crooks
Cooking the books.
Again and again.
And we never win.

In order to move on, you must understand why you felt what you did and why you no longer need to feel it.
Five People you meet in Heaven
I'm trying but i hurts as bad as it did a month ago

So here’s another story of he and she.

Half world was imaginary.

She lived in stories and tales,

Sung with characters, held their hands and laughed with them.
She’d sit in the garden uphill and read and smile and cry.

Until one day he passed by and their eyes smiled.
The stupid Cupid moved his wand, shot the arrow and went away looking for his next prey.

Now they would read together under the tree in the same garden.
He was a mystery who never spoke his mind
But fell in love with her little chaos inside.
“Let’s be fictional,” she said.
His eyes said yes.
Eyes could talk, who knew until now?

On page ten, they fell in love, irrevocably this time.
Page forty-one, they kissed.
Page eighty-seven, they danced in rain.
Page one-hundred and fifty, they shared the warmth on a winter night.
Page two-hundred and twelve, it became madness.

Who wanted this book to end?
But all books do end.
Every book has a last page, last sentence, last word, last letter.

And so came page three-hundred and fifteen

He had to go now.
Where?
We don’t know.
Why?
Nobody would ask.
For how long?
Forever, perhaps.

It was madness again.
A sickening melancholy madness.
She’d still sit there under the tree uphill,
Knowing he’d never come but still waiting for him to pass by.

She’d pick up her pen and write everyday; scribble anything.
The blue ink and the white sheets heard it all and she’d tell them everyday,
“It takes madness to fall in love and it takes madness to fall out of it.”

11:59pm.
Every minute
Has been the same as before.
Until now:
Here you are again before me;
A masterpiece. Art. Flawless clockwork.
A free spirit, benevolent and fair.

12:00am.
You’re the clock that never stops ticking,
Your hands strike my heart at midnight
Just like before, and once again,
The next day starts, and
I’ve fallen again.

How could I not marvel at the wonders in your eyes?
The cogs that work your life?
The curiosity that pours from
Every word you convey, your expression,
Your compassion?

She’s back! They warned me:
The Timeless Piece. The World-Class Thief.
The Artist that paints stolen hearts,
Paintings that draw you in,
Trap you,
Make you gaze ‘til the end of time,
And in the end for committing this crime,
I’ll regret trying to make her mine.

12:01am.
Here we say, our goodbyes again,
“Until next time, let’s talk my friend.”
She walks away, and makes the bend.
Before I knew it,
I’m chasing again.

Every minute
Has been the same as before.
Until now.

Would you mind if I wrote you a love poem
Would you care if I shared it with the world
Would it be okay if I filled it with cliches
As in I am the oyster and you are the pearl

Oh my, it'll be an absolute delight
Go ahead, let the earth be smitten
Let your words float in the twilight
It'll be a beauty no one has ever written

I ask would it be too much
If I compared your beauty to that of Spring flowers
Or how I could just sit here and stare
As I dreamly while away the hours

I'll be flushed with humility
As I am just one of His thankful creations
I'll allow your gaze even through infinity
Admiring beyond my imperfections

Would it be to much to say
That you put the night stars to shame
If I had my very own galaxy
On it I would place your name

You can ask the clouds and sky above
How your words touched my heart to the core
The unfeigned expression of your love
I'm truly blessed, couldn't ask for more

While all above is true enough
Against your beauty nature would lose
I think instead I'll make this poem
A simple "I love you"
