Come, share my dreams
never mind our wrinkles and sunken cheeks
let old age be but a metaphor
our love grows more warm and tender  and the sweetest language speaks.

Come, share my dreams
if there are tears in my eyes, you will understand--you alone
we had laughter, we had many a sorrow
faults that had been (forgive me) were never yours-but my own.

Come, share my dreams
let me lift up my violin from the case
let me sing you the songs you loved most
for your love and devotion I scarcely could find the words to praise.

Come, share my dreams
they are as fresh and beautiful as all the years' gone before
come into the faithful heart that worships you
and all that it can say is:  'With each passing day, I would love you more'.

I Can't

keep spending expectations like currency on maybes,
Or miscounting the number of steps between us.
I can't quite reach what is already gone.
But I don't want to.
I'll keep singing lullabies to those who will not listen,
and you can tell me what it was that made you crave love,
but kept you from ever loving anyone in return.
I can't keep looking for reasons to things I don't want to know.

I am the queen of what ifs
Sitting on a throne of could've beens

My fears are my loyal subjects
Escorting my dreams to the gallows

My ambitions are now prisoners
To my court of procrastination

I, the queen
Reign over all of this regret
May we never forget

I, The Queen ©

All I write is simply amphigory
Meaningless, nonsensical, is it?
I don’t write for fame or glory
My words go in circles just a bit
I try to tell our story
But perhaps as a girlfriend, I am unfit
I don’t have much to offer in my inventory
I wouldn’t be offended if you decided to split
But let me say this
Before you decide
With you my life is full of bliss
And this is not just a simple joyride
I intend to be forthright
Sincere
Polite
And clear
Honesty is my policy
And I don’t want you to worry my dear
I only want you to be happy
To do what makes you so
And I do not wish you to be lonely
So if you must, then you can go
Here I will stand
Waiting for you
Come, take my hand
I will do my best to never let you down
To stand strong when you are weak
And never let you hit the ground
I have my moments of failure
I fall short and become unsettling
Through these moments we can survive
Come, take my hand
I know, you and me, we can surly thrive.
