Heads full of forgotten dreams.
Hearts full of broken hope.
Bones full of lovely aches.
Hands calloused by past lovers.
Arms gently kissed by moonlight.
Eyes glazed over as numbness settles.
Ears ringing with the silence of regret.
Skin torn by the oceans of the world.
You were broken from birth.
Darling it's time
To Rise.
One little
Two little
Three little students
Running home from school.
Four little
Five little
Six little students
Not paying attention to rules.
Seven little
Eight little
Nine little students
They're playing on the street.
Let's make sure
Our little students
Have a safe summer break.
Oh, and by the way,
All ten little students
Made it home today.
Let's make sure we all drive with extra caution today and all summer.

my heart is filled with love and gratitude
for each moment shared with you

I hope you never loose your sense of wonder and awe
nor your contagious laughter of wild abandon

you are a daring explorer
an artist of wondrous imagination

may you keep growing and learning
with your free rebellious spirit

thank you for being a great teacher
of how to  embrace the now

we play in this very moment
we live in this very moment
we love in this very moment
we pray now

each moment blossoms into the infinite now

no words to describe the love I feel for you in my heart

may your heart embrace all of life's joys and sorrows
with gratitude
A poem for my 7 months old daughter Winnie. My second try, I accidently erased the first version.
