Salmabanu Hatim
I had two trees in my garden,
A boy and a girl,
I nurtured them,
I cared for them,
I gave them the best of everything.
They bore the ripest fruits of knowledge,
Then came the storm,
And in the tempest both my trees were uprooted by their spouses across the ocean,
Never to come back.
The only thing left were two big holes in the garden of my heart,
Which I am still trying to fill.
Two things I learned in life,
Never have expectations,
Never toil for others.

Sometimes
We need no pills
To heal.

Sometimes
Therapy
Is no remedy still.

Sometimes
Nothing can mend
A broken heart like WORDS.
Positive words heal.

these days, shining a light
In the darkness
Is harder than it sounds.
But don't give up.
There are still people
Looking to be found

Learning the tough way to meet the pressures and demands of Corona Pandemic.
I salute them.

I decided not to fall in love again
Until I fall for myself.
But you...you make me yearn
For the sweetness that comes with love
And the bitter taste it leaves in my mouth.
