sometimes                                   will never
it feels like                                      be even
i am hiding                                         again
so so much                               s
underneath                          e
the surface                      l
and keeping               a
so so much            c       oh
inside that          s          god
t       h       e                help me
The fleeting, yes, my heart’s desire

the barely-there, a wraith

Ephemera, whispers on the wind,

impermanence my faith.

I tremble before the eternal

faced with nature’s stand

Beneath a soaring mountain,

being scoured and withered to sand.

In the shadow of mighty forever

I teeter above the abyss

Toes inching and sending down trickles

the landslides remind me of this.

I sleep in perfect hollows

and cut my teeth on bone

The glory of calcification

rolls in my mouth, I am home.

Cascading the ones gone before me

throughout my own blood by their dust

Absorbing a lifetime in seconds,

turning my fillings to rust.

Temporal consumption thus rendered,

my heart winds to stillness sublime

How quickly we flash to our endings,

how rapid the animal time.

My thoughts dripped from
My eyes
Falling gently upon the ripples in the ocean
As they surf the crest of of each valley within the swirls
My heart and mind feel
Like that of
The softness of
a freshly bloomed flower
                   But
Then from the fog of the sea
I hear the cry
Deep from the bowels
Of the water
And as I turn to look
My eyes see tears of
The swimming creatures
To which have received
My thoughts that dripped from my eyes.

Today I’m struggling
to find
a potent
portent
of the human
condition
to place in
my poetic
compositions.

I will never be
ensconced in
charming lace
valentine
            hearts
candypink encased
You will not see me
withering away
back of hand
          upon brow
in fainting stance
in a flowing silk dress
swinging on a
           perfect bough
For I am a river
wild and true
sometimes quiet
sometimes
roaring and
             soaring in
shimmering hues:
Blues and greens
mixed with shades
           of earth, of fire
bespeaking emotions
in tones of desire
My river can get messy
can flood over too fast
because my heartstrings
                       get pulled
by the strength of
                        the blast
It can bring up
colored stones
in its undertow
fish and otters
spinning
in voodoo
          overflow

As the colors rise up
in this heated coolness,
                          this deluge
the influx overwhelms me
with a power so huge
and then I need
     some metallics,
flecks of silver and gold
to soothe
passion's piquancy
                when it gets
                   particularly bold
                      Specked within rocks
                    to ground me, keep
               my feet on the soil
             prevent my heart
          from slipping
       down into
     a choking,
         hot oil

Bronze minerals reflect
peaks of sadness,
     searing pain
        from rawness of hurt
          with no one to blame
Yes, it can be a balm
                         and also a burn
to be so linked
by spirit-threads
to another, in emotions
that churn
just on the brink
but never truly there
to experience the
         fullness of rush
ripe culmination
abundant and lush

and that's when the
river turns
into molten
              lava...
and I must dig
deep under
layers of ancient strata
seeking relief
in coolness of earth
as my spirit
             again undergoes
              a kind of rebirth
For when we
grow to love
strange things
happen, indeed
       In the core of
my essence
you are the root
of my
        seed

Mythical
There she stands tall,
Wearing radiant colors,
Hair tied in a tight bun,
Make up with white blush.

Her glass beady eyes looking straight forward,
With a haunting tale of sorrow,
A chilling sight it must be,
To be a statue on a shelf.

The look she gave,
Chills run up my spine,
With stories of the untold,
A swoosh of cold air,
Brushes against my cheek,
Every time I see the doll...

My eyes drift up to the rotating colors moving as fast as my heartbeat across the ceiling.
I close my eyes and feel your hands gripping my thighs, pulling
me in, closing all distance between us.
All the blood in my body rushes down between my legs. I bite my
lip in anticipation, letting my body sink into the sensation of
feeling your warmth next to me.
I take one last look at the kaleidoscope ceiling, bring my lips to yours and finally give in.
A moment I had to capture.

drops falling steadily
upon a misty world
far more than fifty shades of green
dazzle your senses
make you
     almost
hear
trees  bushes  flowers
drinking sustenance
     ecstatically
dancing in the rain
Apropos a nice rainy day in spring
