I wanted to lean in
There
At that moment
I hesitated

My heart hurt.
It pulled towards another
But stumbled over you.

You let go,
I didn’t want you to
But I knew we had to

Lick my lips
Cradle my face
Gaze into my eyes
And tell me I'm safe

I have been so focused on you
Trying to get so close to you
I have been running
And running
And running
Until i realized
that is all I will be to you

My tears are stars
and you seem to love
watching them fall.

Feelings
              that come
                  back
             are feelings
                   that
               never left.

                  Love
                 led me
                    all
                the way
                   back
                  to you.

                    And
                 I'm still
               convinced
                    that
                 the rest
                      of
                  my life
                    looks
                     like
                     you.

i really hate to hate you sometimes

I wish I could write a poem
That snuck into your skin
Or sunk into your pores
And touched the parts
Of you that you
Didn’t know existed

It hurts the most
When the person
That made you feel wanted yesterday
Made you feel so unwanted today.
