Don't let anyone make you feel that you're a nagging being,
Simply because they keep doing the same things over and over again,
Simply because you keep complaining about these same things, over and over again.
Do not let anyone make you feel small and insecure for refusing to be the quiet type,
For refusing to accept their numerous exes still being in the frame,
For refusing to accept their need to always be around the opposite ***.
Do not let anyone take away your joy and self-esteem simply because they cannot rid themselves of their own fears,
Of depression and loneliness,
Their need for acceptance and company.
Recognize these signs early and walk away,
Set your goals and never let anyone make you feel like what you want is impossible.
We can all enjoy peaceful lifestyles if both parties in any relationship,
Be it a casual friendship,
Respect each other's opinions and acknowledge that they both have to compromise and curb their excesses if they want the relationship to work.
Never let anyone drown you in their mess
Because they're used to living that way.
You're not,
Trying to save them will only take you deeper into their shallowness.
All of these poems, look as the children cry

add my name to that inner circle thing
where newsletters about the most heartfelt go
the e-mails and spam about
worthy people nearly saints
singing praises in God's name hand
out bread loaves
and fish

keep my name off charities
that claim for twenty five cents a day
you can adopt: a child in Africa; an elephant;
send books to the Nile River flooded
refugees; the latest Syrian gassed.

I get my kicks, sunshine,
above the waist, (**** i stole
hell outta that line)
and I lied about that too,
some my best kicks, etc.....

well, giving seems to be a
rich someone ******* in America
in a mansion. Send me , count me in,
when charities help some
*******.

I've been down out, seen ten million others
the same desperate way, ain't seen or heard
one thank the United Way

Obscure eyes of
Shameless sin

Subconscious
Evolution
Stalls again

Conjured myths
Bringing
Hopeless fears

Superstition
Fallen upon
Mindless ears

Love in a name
War in the same

Shamelessness
Cannot be
Contained

Next generation
looking for peace
Teach them well
Or feed the beast

Loud and arrogant,
a visceral voice
takes control,

green and purple
red and angry
fierce and ugly

cold like holy water,
but not holy
cold and white like frost
on the windows.

So cold - too cold to sleep.
Breathe under your blanket
curl up
hold your feet to your stomach
your hands inside your head.

The glow from the oil stove flickers
but
the heat from its distant flame
does not reach.
Its light only taunts,
reflects,
makes the frost appear warm.

Frost inside the window

I scrape the crystal etching
with ***** broken nails,

Soon morning will break
and melt the frost,
moving it along the frozen pane,

along my frozen pain.

Swirling winds of endless time
Slowly erode the weary mind
A mind programmed to forget
When a hundred harvest moons have set
When barn and wagon have termites eaten
Beyond repair to bear repeating
The sun shall turn, the earth shall set
When shadows of doubt become regret

Out here beyond few seasons
I bear the stains of logical reason
With eyes full of brilliant light
So as the devil out of mind and sight
Entities unseen, invisible beings
And the non-existing
Surely share a similar theme

In such need of a distraction
To save me from this attraction
Alter me, misshape me, reintegrate me
Reform or deform me
Any form of chemical reaction
Contraction, extraction or detraction
To allow me escape this endless inaction
And there goes rhymin' simon
From 1973 and before i was born
Somewhere after the crown of thorns
But again before the golden age of ****
So accuse me again that i would overthink
Easy to say, when you've never read Batfink
Now there's a guy too ****** up to live
So much so, left the scene to resurrect as fixative
**** him, let him tell his story and i'll tell mine
And most of time i do that pretty fine
But this ain't poetry just a personal diatribe
My own little sick bucket, a self centered whine
For the purists this rhyming is surely a crime
But hey look at the title, see i'm just killing time
Anything to stop this endless push and pull
The gnawing of the brain, the heart shaped lull
There's nothing so intense as purest attraction
Yet in your absence i flounder to each & every
Distraction
ps... go read fixative, guy is an absolute treasure.

South-by-Southwest
That was then and now is there
As sister Sara pointed out
We were young and stupid
But our ship harbored no care

The oak was new , fresh the smell
We climbed the rigging
of the mast of life
so fast , so well

"Get down you fools"
The old crusted would say
Seasoned in salt from life's
crashing waves and spray

We just laughed and brayed
Almost depraved
"Get lost old fool"
We were so cruel

We weighed our anchor
and dropped our sails
Little we knew
of the seas of Hell

The distant thunder
lightning's warning
It didn't scare us
Life was ours to plunder

But the oak did gray
It bent and buckled
The rigging's rope broke
some of us tumbled

Beaten and battered
We limped into our ports
There was no laughter
from our fellow cohorts

The crossing is done
Sun seasoned in wear
We are the old fools . . .
That was then and now is there
