She has this iron shell,
indestructible, impenetrable.
Made of an armor of thorns,
strikes harder than thunderstorms.
But behind this ironclad,
is a lovely maiden
waiting for her lad
to embrace her iron fortress
with faith and tenderness,
to awaken and release her
from her long golden slumber.

I know, it's not your prison,
but rather your protection.
Just come my dear,
there's no need to fear,
Just hold my hand,
you'll be safe here.

No meu pensamento  vives sempre,
Estejas presente ou ausente...
O teu amor compromete,
Ama tudo com simplicidade,
Me fazes ser tempo sem  idade.

Exiled to dusk,
Fractions of the sun
Begin to lift away,
In concealment
We shudder,
Casting our reels
Into a pond of uncertainty,
Clock hands bend
With advancing shadow,
And speak of time
Only in past tense.

I so want everything
I ever felt for you
Preserved for posterity,
Even should forever
Be far less than
We imagined.

Hey, you Hooman,
Don't look at me that way
I am not gonna stay
Give me my food
And I will be on my way

I see you, and I come in
If I like, I start purrin'
For a belly rub I roll on
thus, I make you my pawn

I lick and scratch for my good
You find it to be so cute
You start talking like a baby
I think you are a fool and crazy

I am my own queen
I always keep myself clean
Don't be such a smug
I am the cutest ****

You think I may not care
My love is for the rare
When I decide to show
Then only you will know

I teach you to be you
Plenty of stories in every mew
Listen closely for your sake
Be yourself and don't be a fake....
Our neighbour's cat visit us everyday for a snack and some snuggles...

Dark n Beautiful
The things we grow tired of were the same things
we once love and adore, in our relationships
Their faces, their smell and their voices
What a turned off: what a misconstruction
these little things turn out to be....

I am an alien in a foreign land,
Away from family and familiar sand.
I am awed  by the beauty of this place,
Learning their language and try to find some solace.
Though the sky and the water looks the same,
I can't call it as my own and not for me to claim.
I can feel the colour of the skin is different,
It is apparent so much, though it is irrelevant.
We all need food and air in the end,
In hunger the colour eventually blend.
Soon I will find a humble abode,
Till then I have to continue on the road.
The questions that brought me so far,
I hope to find the answers in southern star...
New city,  new country...

The clock strikes 12 in the morning,
Trying hard to get into the stream.
But when it does not let you sleep,
you are wide awake in your dream.

What is it that keeps you awake at night?
Have you find your cause to fight?
If not so, oh my dear!
You will live only in fear.

Let this feeling set you free,
Open the lock with this key.
Don't be living just a life,
Make it larger, while you strive.

Don't think it will be easy,
Many more endless nights to see.
But when it does not let you sleep,
There is nothing more meaningful,
and deep.

Storms will come and go,
You have to face it all.
What matters in the end,
That you get up after the fall.

They will eventually weep,
Don't just wait for the slumberday.
When it does not let you sleep,
You have found the right way...
What keeps you awake at night?

Over inflated view of self,
Need to see what others see.
To know the real person you are,
Closely look who reflects back at thee.

Don't just live in that self-made bubble,
It will eventually close in on you.
Better to include few wrong others,
To make you more aware of your troubles.

Even though this world is cruel,
You anyway are not entitled.
So be humble of your fragility,
Accept that you need the humility.

The whole life is contradictory,
Right and wrong are subjugatory.
You never know what is in store,
Better to have few people ashore.

A life with only 'I',
Ain't it narrow and purely a lie?
The truth will only be revealed
When two fates are eventually sealed.

We are merely a speck in the universe,
Which is by the way doesn't revolve around you!
The moment you see over this fact,
A more humbling world is right before you.

Let go of the self and the ego,
Be one with others and the world.
You will step into a universe,
Which you thought was beyond your grasp....
For some narcissistic people in my life...

I think I figured out how to make her happy
Even though she is up there
And I am down here
Her feet rose and fell
between fields of paddy

the grass bowed
then looked up on her way.

If only she had wings
and the winds carried her to her sister
she could land right on the yard of her hut
and take her home by the return flight
but her mind soared no less
so before the sun favored the west
she was right by her
laughing and talking like the yore
with only a line of vermilion
that she felt had come between them.

Soon she looked around
and making sure no one was watching
brought out from her skirt a mango.

She gave it to her like
she was giving a piece of her heart
plump yellow green
with the most delicious nectar hidden within
and when she narrowed her lips
to drink from the gift
her tears poured like the summer rain
mingling with the cries of the parched earth.
