dogs playing happily in the park
children laughing on the playground
birds flying up in the sky,
this picture makes me wanna die.

a clean blue sky
and a warm shy sun
heath makes me feel like
I'm melting to the ground

I'm suffocating.

pretty girls in white dresses
people with kind voices
long, blonde hair in the wind
big, smiling eyes
and tattoos on upper backs
love them all
they used to make my heart laugh
but now I'm only drowning.

The dirt calls my name all day long
sometimes I think
maybe is there where I belong
six feet under, alone
away
from all this puppet show.

strawberry fields
letting loose old chains
you and your wry laughter
defeated by the day old machines
of life and their constant clogging

time's hands tear into spring
nail first, peeling off the light constricting canopy
twisting barbwire off delicate skin
strangling you on a couch from hell

wake up to the smell of bourbon
and dead roses - so pretty
your lashes creating the shadows
on your gaunt cheekbones,
and your name is Soul
i struggle a ton with full length poems but thank you all for reading

edit: thank you, sexywiggle, for lighting this poem up
The tedium and mediocrity;
insepid, vapid, stale husks of souls
be nary a bit of resistance for
eccentric and eclectic spirits!
Dedicated to all y'all beautiful beings out yonder.
Hold ye fest 'fore the ugly face of indiscretions levied by tortured angels.
That they who suffer often seek to multiply suffering is a feature of the unenlightened.
To inflict yet more harm in vindictive retaliation is equally callow, fascile, and noxious.

Just remember,
as t'was so eloquently put by
His Compassionate Eminance,
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr:
"Darkness cannot drive out darkness.
Only light can do that."

Shining in the darkness

Like a hope of goodness

Give me some spark light

So, I can glow myself

In the name of your smile
Even in the darkness

You are there for me

Shining like an everlasting light

And helping me to move forward.

Not sure how this will be

When everybody reads it

Tried something different

I do have some darkness

Covered in the shade of goodness

I only aim to minimize or pacify

The darkness within me.

My thoughts sometime give

Birth to the darkest fears.

Even I see my myself as a Villain in mirror

So, I always try to escape from my reflections

And wanted to be human as I was when am asleep

Even in the thoughts if I hate someone

Yes, then am not a complete human

But, a demon in disguise of human

Only when I am asleep I feel like human

Otherwise I try to control my inner darkness
Yes, if I don't have a good thought

Am not human but a demon

I don't take into account of what others think of me

Because only I know if am doing it right or wrong

Or am a good or a bad

They only know what I show to them

But, not what I am

Incessant, nervous breeze,
Gray mornings scudding in,
Branches, stark and thin,

Rain and flurried snow
Blended now, as if they didn't know
Which way the sky must go,
Warming now, but slow.

Bleak skies and weathered land
Beaten colorless by Winter's hand
Seem silent in these days of gray,
But I know fair Spring will have her say.

A neighbor rang, reporting her first robin;
Two trumpeters flew north without stopping,
And geese stand waiting on the icy pond,
Rememb'ring open water just beyond.

This is the time when old ones sigh,
Wondering will winter ever die?
And some decide that it is best
To turn toward eternal rest.

So left my friend this early spring
Before he heard the robins sing,
And I remain to live the winter out alone,
Awaiting green and coveting bird song.

I
found
an
old
phone
today

In a shop
  with antiques

Bulky,
   black and
       beautiful

From the 50's
just like me

For sure it's dial
is a rotary

Its ring
takes me
to a musky old hotel lobby

I hear it ring... ring... ringing

The desk clerk shouts out

" Paging Irving  Paging Irving
come to the front desk please".

Isn't it ironic, how we tell others to stay strong, yet, we can't do it ourselves?
How we give useful advice, yet, we never receive any help.
We try to keep everyone around us strong.
Knowing we're the ones that need help all along.
Keeping everyone out of harm's way.
I guess we should be considered superheroes saving people everyday.
Putting others needs before our own.
God forbid if our problems are shown.
The ones that can't stay strong are the ones that keep a strong posture.
Appearing strong in reality we're weak.
Merely helping others while stumbling on our own feet.

John Stevens
Love is patient,
love is kind.

It does not envy,
it does not boast,
it is not proud.

It does not dishonor others,
it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil
but rejoices with the truth.

It always protects,
always trusts,
always hopes,*
always perseveres.

*Love never fails.
---------------------
The above is very old
And
Has never changed
-------------
Love is not lust.
Love carries you through
The difficult times.
There is
Faith
Hope
and
Love
To complete your life.
The greatest of these
Is LOVE

Without Love
I am nothing.
What better
For Valentines Day

She rolls down the western edge
The bucolic Spiral path
Coincides with the horizon
Gray foot print
Slowly mingles with dark
As the Bats of evening find back to home

Gentle Breeze to dangle
Purple haze of Four O'clock
The Crossroads, Wait behind
Where to start, or what end is!
Poetry continuing as the falls of pain

Afternoon's Lyrics said good bye
Today's bright Star does not rise
What they chase during the run out!
Why come back again
Along with the known way!

Moonlit falls on the ways of Standing hill
Beyond the horizon
Dark fading, while
Lost love fusions with her colors
Across the Monsoon, Autumn, Winter
Finally the Spring is on the way
