strawberry fields
pretty names, but you have the prettiest.*
angel's white dust pushed around by
the dingy desert winds dry meadow murmurs.

heated leather seats, **** smooth leather pants
and slender, skinny beautiful body with
a name attached to it, smoke smelled
of burnt raspberries

and the conversation burned like them too,
i feel things for you and perhaps
transparently similiar damage
bleeding rubies out like sap

the conversations dripped like sap too.

I am not grounded by this poisonous dirt
My roots do not fall into your social disease
This country is not the soil on which I am fertilized
Lies only serves to sap the earth of her nutrients

It is the world that birthed me
Nurtured though sometimes hurt me

I am not a creature of my local society
But a sapling ready to spring from the entirety
Of humanity

These aged rings that mark my time
Can be found in every sound that nature mimes

My mind is free to be a grand improvement

The earth that birthed me is our shared history
In science, art, education, love, and poetry

My hands are leaves that branch forth from me

So when I flower blooming beautiful petals
When they fall like a warm autumn shower
When my limbs crack, snap, and bend
Heavy with winter’s water laden wind
Lay me bare right here to wither and rot away

You, my beneficiary will emerge from the same dirt
But grow to be a brighter bigger more beautiful tree

Bellicose beer-belled bad-*****
Bawdily belting down brewskies
Usually, boozily, bruisily beating
On weaker, sleeker funseekers
In the bar where they are, far
From anything like maturity
Hip hip hooray for unhip USA.

Ballyhooing big screen viewing
Myopic eyes watch others exercise
Freedom-hating grouch on a couch
Itching, *******; psoriasis and sloth
Unread armchair Brother of the Cloth.
One of the minions of opinions,
Hardened against morality, reality.
Saying it every day: USA, USA, USA!

Hating, bating, aggravating, skating
Right past solutions, conclusions
Preferring propaganda, ***** Miranda,
Stop mollycoddling, bottling up anger
Christ in the manger should be law
But they guffaw at reading The Book;
They took their religion from TV.
Freedom for me, not thee, in my USA.

Got mine, ***** yours, rights immune;
That tune don’t play here. No queers
No browns, yellows, Hindus or Jews.
I’ve got news you can use, I abuse
And oppress guys in a dress, yes!
Even if he’s white, it still ain’t right.
The Constitution is old, it just teases.
Mine is Republican Jesus for the USA.

A pigeon for old time religion and God
Everyone else is odd. I saw the movie.
It was groovy and pretty. Went to the city
Saw it in Imax, no blacks in the theater
Thanks to The Creator that gave us all
The intelligence to call things right.
Hip hip hooray for being lily white.
Hip hip hooray for the KKK USA.

The tension is always there
Cold steel coiled ready to rumble
Muscles strained to the limit
Life and work pushing
Till the flesh bulges and breaks
A ****** bulb busting
Bursting with life’s juices
The truth is we don’t need this
Happiness is achievable
The weird web we weave
To shape our destiny
Is not a trap to clap back
And smash happy facts
But to take the mind
To greater times
Traveling so fast
That the old corrupted institution
Warp and finally collapse
Leaving a space for us to make a better way

I only die
If I refuse
To use what I am
If I stop pushing
Past the parameters
That other people
And myself put on me

I let it grow
The brown and grey
****** hair
Spreading like a plague
To cover the face
I used to hate

Now that shaggy man
That scraggly hound
Isn’t so bad

Despite the rough
Times he had
He has a heart
To hold the whole world
In loving esteem

Who cares if he is raggedy
And smelly

He is love incarnate
Messy but brilliant
King of mercy
A little *****

But
Who wouldn’t have
***** hands
When they are struggling
To plow a field
Full of angry fists
And replace them with
Love

Says to She causes she is me
The sun she seeks
Is the truth she speaks
Light like radiant beams
That breaks the dark
To soften each broken heart
And bring the warmer affections
To those who have been neglected
To calm furies that should not exist
And stoke the flames of rage
Where anger needs to persist
To help people resist
The chains that try and tie us down
To give every artist the wings
Of the Angelic hosts who in rebelling sing
Of freedom from an eternal being
Let her be the better part of humanity
So when this oval earth egg
Loses her loving presence
There will still be a bit of her essence
Left to linger and inspire
This human race to be les bitter
And much, much better

I want to hate you
To crawl inside
My own stomach and die
While you fly
With your greedy suicide
Dissecting and erecting
Monuments to your opulence
Your eyes gleam with
Unattained wealth
You cannot help yourself
The media tells you what to want
Which block is the best block
Were you want to shop
How to stop the clock
And fear, fear, fear
And cheap beer, beer
Oh my deer
The headlight home in
On your definition of sin
But the only sin I see
Is that you believe
This is how life is supposed to be

My neighbor labored to build a fence
All walls of stone and wooden planks
To separate the world from them
Building row after row
In haste as if their life depended on
Finding where other do or do not belong

Tall and sturdy slightly dirtied
The fence stood
To me t’was no good
It blocked the trees, it stop the leaves,
And blooming branches

In their veiled vanity
They blocked their view of humanity
So with words a blazing
With verses of poetry
That had built up inside of me
I sang songs of wisdom
To teach them
To tear down the fences
And see all the beauty

They say we exist in rivers of fate
Predetermine pathways we are imprisoned in
Positions we were born for
And to disturb or ignore such strings
Would undermine the order of those things

I say we are free form individuals
With endless paths before and between us
That the reason they want to bind us to fate
Is because they want to blind us
To the weight of our own power
To makes us wait for divine intervention
Instead of having us pay attention
To our intentions and the intention of others

The wealthy and religious classes
Want to politically castrate men and women
Till we are to impotent with diffidence
Unable to make any sort of difference
But that framework doesn’t fit this
World that we seven billion strong have been gifted with
We have more power then we know
And it only grows when we explode
And show it to everyone else

Outside is the hive mind where it hurts to hunt for facts
Were the bees will sting me to prevent things from being seen
So I stow the words in a honeyed larva
A sweet secret space where no one has to face
Any uncomfortable issues
And from that hole is birthed a blackness
Soft sickles slice through the sadness
Forgets to destroy the madness
And I lose myself
In one drop of delicious conformity after another

This is the place where I put my truths
A small lock box that **** blocks ignorance
Strands of genetic structured poetry imbedded in
My every blood cell and ligament

This is where all figments go to die
Where all delusions and illusions find their end
Where I bend myself to impossible positions
Like some contortionist magician
To tell you how much I love how much the truth hurts
