My heart saw a bed of rose petals in you
It fell upon a bed full of your thorns
My heart waters the ache that you left
It waits for the roses to bloom

Blah blah blah
Enjoy
She seeks God in the river where she drowned him
The same one she once tried to cleanse her soul in

Her heart listens to hymns sung by her petrified flesh
While her lovers' lips set the pace of her forgotten faith

She is lost

i like you more when you are sober

Grandpa

*Grandpa is in his
Second year of dementia
He has not recognized Grandma
for over a year.
but in the summer
for the past three months
he has come in from the garden
holding a small bouquet of flowers
cut from the flower beds he loved.
He falls on one knee
before grandma and says softly
you are the most beautiful
woman I have ever seen
please run away with me
and become my wife.
she touches his silvered hair
softly and whispers
I am your wife honey.
It's a delight to see his
old lost face light up
as the biggest smile
covers it.

Bathe in the glory of hope.
Shatter the shield of fear.
Become more than what you think you are.
Time keeps ticking and life is not waiting for you.
Explore the world's limitless opportunities.
Adventure and happiness are out there...
Go out of the comfort of your box
and find what you're looking for.

Complex Beauty
Pale blue liquid captured in an orb
surrounded by milky colored living fabric
framed by long streams of blond silk.
Tiny pink rose petals
outline shiny pearls
bordering a red cave.
Two pillars stand on crumbling surfaces carrying the necessities of life.
Various vessels attach to a clock ticking towards the unknowable end.
Hot maroon velvet circulates throughout the majestic system.
The source of all knowledge spreads its roots controlling the
organs as their symphony echos throughout the warm establishment.
The beauty of complexity casts itself through shining sapphire spheres.
The wet smoothness of the living fabric sends the fluttering
of butterfly wings into the one who has touched it.
The shimmering of the silk illuminated under the sun
burns a hole into the pit of that one.
Gasping for relief from the aggressive attraction.
Breathing in heavily to grasp the rawness of emotions.
A sudden stop.                                    Fear takes over.
The clock stops.                                     The flow stops.
The roots die.                                           The system defective.                                                    Waiting
   to be                                                                    mended.
There exists a place on earth
Where one can find true peace
A place away from stress and pain
A place where all of it will cease

For some, it's near the ocean
That a calm can always be found
The waves carry all the stress away
With that familiar relaxing sound

The coolness of the water,
And the warmth of sunny rays,
It doesn't take very long at all
Before the world melts away

For others it's the forest
That sets their mind at ease
The world feels completely still
When you're surrounded by tall trees

The air somehow feels calmer
It smells remarkably fresh
Some birds tweet in the distance
And your thoughts again can mesh

So often we get caught up
In the worries of the day
We forget to worry about ourselves
And take some time away

So whether you go alone
Or with someone you hold dear
Make sure to find the time you need
To make your head feel clear
I have had such horrible writers block for a few months now. Every time I tried to sit down to write a poem, I couldn't come up with any inspiration. Then when I finally did, I couldn't put them into the right words. The result was confusing poems that I didn't really feel that proud of.
Happy to say that after some much needed time away, the poem came to me and I am proud of it. Starting the new year back on track with some relaxation and some poetry. Hope you all enjoyed it, and can find time to relax and clear your heads in the near future :) <3

because when she was young,

people would ask her

"what superpower,

do you wish for?"

so without any hesitation

she replied "invisibility."

and then,

and then she grew up realising

it came true.

He told me my scars weren't beautiful
And I told him that no one could ever really admire a masterpiece
Without taking a few steps back
Your scars make you who you are and no matter what you are beautiful
