With the veins of my grief
the day dies a fallen leaf
night’s shadows in me confide
the boat is coming from the other side
chirping crickets on darkness feed
thickens smell of mangrove reed
waves rolling in the saline stream
paint a boat in slumbered dream.
---

As a little girl I saw you
You fell down and scraped your knee
And as the tears flowed
down your face
You thought I didn't see
Your mother came and hugged you
I wonder if you knew
That as she held you close to her
I came and hugged you TOO.

Yes, my child, I hugged you.
How it hurt to see you cry!
You thought that I was far away
But I heard your softest sigh.
You thought that I was far away
But I was always there...

Your every pain a call to Me
And every tear a prayer.

As a growing child I witnessed it
How the girls teased you in school
Well you understood the pain
Of being made a fool.
In the schoolground they all
Taunted you
I don't think that you knew
That when you sat
And hugged yourself
I came and hugged you TOO.

Yes, my child, I hugged you.
How it hurt to see you cry!
You thought that I was far away
But I heard your softest sigh.
You thought that I was far away
But I was always there...

Your every pain a call to Me
And every tear a PRAYER.

You came to be a woman
As precious as a dove
But you never saw it
For you'd always felt unloved
And so the world hurt you
How it tore you apart!
So I called you out and wooed you...

YOU ASKED ME IN YOUR HEART!

So now you know I love you
Now you see I cried!
Every time you did not trust Me
And believed deception's lie
Now you know LOVE YOU
AND I AM ALWAYS THERE...

Your every day a call to me

AND EVERY TEAR A PRAYER!!!

This is a song I wrote a while back.
I will have it produced one day.

---
Start slow...
     warming... up...and...below
         forty five degrees
            to the left...right...others go nineties...
       some freeze...from locked knees
   they don't mind...they'll recover
          before the hour is over...

Detach self
    from what
       surrounds
             but...still aware
                connected...
            agitation
        soon to be lessened
   eventually....calmed

Focus...
   exercise
       stabilize
    synchronize
        visualize
     internalize
  energize!

Endure!
An ant bites at the back of your ear
         something's  crawling on your tummy
beads of sweat, drop across your eyes,
or inside your ear...you feel the cold touch within

A bee, a wasp...sometimes, a fly
      circles very near your face
           makes your wall of
                concentration, crumble
              tempting you to lose count
          of the movements
      testing you...
   if you might still stray...even
      a step away...
          if, to your weaknesses
      you would still succumb

          will you be distracted?
             or stay focused?

Let eyes, and mind blink
     One...two...three...quickly!
            be grounded!
                stay on the right track.....

               Exercise!
               ...visualize....
               ... internalize.....
               ...never give up!

***starting the week right...too much chinese noodles this weekend***
Who could’ve thought…
certainly not me…
how the fires of love
would burn so intensely,
and consume me
in the miniscule span
of three precious weeks.

Actually though,
it was longer;
it began
eight months earlier;
before the final
three weeks of  your
most cherished life.

It was before I
tenderly touched
your fragile skin,
so paper thin,
and looked into those
beautiful amber eyes,
when you’d open them.

My own amber eyes
looking back at me.
You were my mirror
and I had no idea, then,
just what I’d see,
or what YOU could see
as you looked right
into me.

You, my little one,
showed me a part of
myself I never thought
existed
before you.

If I hadn’t held you
for the treasured
time allowed,
if I hadn’t felt you
with my own skin,
seen you with my
own eyes,
reached out with my
own heart,
or enveloped you with
my own mind,
I wouldn’t have believed
how much the fickle
fires of the heart could
grow, expand and
utterly consume me,
in the span of those
three precious weeks.

The moment you exhaled
your last little breath
and died in my arms,
you took a piece of
my very soul
with you.

Keep it safe, my love.
You planted it deep
within you long ago,
allowing it to grow.

I love you always,
of that never, ever doubt…
till we meet again
my treasured
first born.

I missed you then,
I miss you still,
and for forever
always will.

~ In remembrance of my
Giovani, born and died
14 years ago this 5th
of July. Never forgotten.~
❤️
Most others have forgotten or put it out of their minds...but a mother never can. I will forever be marked. I wouldn't have it any other way.
A wailing ghost has found you.
Foolishy, you hoped to be free.
But that is how it plays with you.
A cat and mouse game, you see.

However did you get as far
In the frosty, wintry night
Without knowing your ache would return?
How could you think you'd be alright?

The haint is on your back,
And chillishly shrilling in your ear.
Maybe you did not bury your deeds deep enough.
Perhaps that is why you fear.

The awesome hatred is poured into your cup.
A spectral accusation never is one in vain
If it closely resembles the truth.
The guilty perish, for crimes that are never named.
The beginning of fall, and the forward momentum toward my favorite holiday, have begun.
(Just some passing thoughts)

What if.....
...the midnight blue firmament remained midnight blue?
...dawn didn't come...the sun didn't even peep...
...the lamp posts remained bright with light
...because the hours seemed to have stopped
...because the night.....didn't want to end

what if...
...everyone got tired of the night
...dreamt, and wished for a bit of light
...bonfire flames became too much for the eyes
...they burned nonstop, like those in a funeral rite
...as if waiting for the dead one to soar
...even with the wind blowing, temperature was hot
...everyone was awaiting the sun---
...the true light of day

What if...
...electricity did not return...gone permanently
...there'd be no more cell phones, ipads
...laptops, desktops, nooks and kindles
...there would be nothing...of these gadgets
...no more appliances to make life easier

But, what if...
...light came back
...we had sun...and moon...and stars
...yet we could not speak, like we speak today?
...no papers and pens...just rocks and pointed objects?

Where would you be?
where would I be?
how would we be?

Would you be one holding a club?
dressed in your off shoulder attire of animal skin?
would your hair be long, uncombed, messy?
would your house, be a cave?

Would my hair be rudely grabbed by a man
to show the rest that he owns me?

Instead of cats and dogs, would our pets
be big, long necked creatures that eat trees?
would they be friendly enough to be patted?

Would we ever know of a blood moon
apart from a blue moon, or a yellow crescent?
would we ever know of mars? jupiter?
would we still remember our own earth?
the way life used to be?

How would we be?
where would i be?
where would you be?

Would you like to trade
With me for just one day
I'll take what you have
And you can take my place
It might do us good
To bring about a change
If we traded places
For a single day

I'll take all your problems
And you take all of mine
We might find the answers
If given enough time
It's easier sometimes to see
From a different side
From another perspective
From another's life

Then we both can trade back
When it is we're done
Perhaps apologize
If we did each other wrong
I'm sure it would open up our eyes
To a lot that's going on
Teach us much about ourselves
All the do's and don'ts

A little give, a little take
If we decide to trade
I'm not saying forever
But just for today
Give ourselves if nothing else
That much needed break
So what do you say
Do you want to trade
