The light beams through the shades
I roll away from the brightness
And smile as I see your sleeping face
How pure and innocent you appear
Like an angel sent to make me forget
All the negativity in the universe
I see the rising and falling of your bare chest
I feel the life pulsing through you as I caress your arm
You moan so lightly I cannot be sure you ever made a sound
Your eyes slowly open and a golden smile spreads across your face
You are here
In this moment
With me
That is all that will ever matter.

If I were to write a poem
About the stars and the universe
I could describe it in great detail
With only you as basis

each day
i fall in love
with someone new--
but it seems
i'm only falling
for different versions
of you.

oh darling you drive me wild,
you make me scream for your attention like a little child,
i remember when you first spoke to me and i smiled
so big, oh so big
darling don't you see how much you drive me wild?
