She thought she found love
Joy filled her heart and soul
Her heart once held beauty
But now it has withered and died
Betrayal left its rancid seed
She loved a god, who took her as his bride
They sanctified their love in
A temple of the goddess Athena
Furious, Athena’s wrath fell upon her
She sought help from her beloved Poseidon
He smiled and walked away
Her heart slowly turned to stone
Where once glamorous tresses hung
Now poisonous vipers gleamed
So filled with bitter rage
Just one look from her transforms
One to stone
A love betrayed
Her heart now unfeeling stone
It is a monster that she has become
As betrayal’s rancid seed grows
Her soul silently weeps
As she seeks those who betray love
And turns them to stone
With one glance
Her tale has become myth
But still she exists
Even if only to be found
Within the hearts of those
Whose love has been betrayed

Medusa’s Legacy

How I wish to embrace each day
Meet the Morn with a song in my heart
Instead depression pulls me into the dull and grey

Despair rises up, much to my dismay
Clouding my judgment and tearing me apart
How I wish to embrace each day

A new day dawns, but still with feet of clay
I succumb to the darkness, wishing it would depart
As depression pulls me into the dull and grey

I awake with good intentions that go astray
It’s a constant struggle that I don’t wish to be a part of
How I wish to embrace each day

Out of the quagmire I make my way
Towards the light, thinking it’s a new start
Instead depression pulls me into the dull and grey

How wondrous it must be to find one’s way
Rising above the despair and make a new start
How I wish to embrace each day
Instead depression pulls me into the dull and grey

Fearless

Too long I've rested upon my throne.
Ordained as ruler,
I wield a sceptre
imbued with old indoctrinated notions.
Bound in aged, tired traditions.
Obstinacy clasped tight within my fingers.

Living by the
foundations laid,
imposed by predecessors before.
I realise that I am but caged
within my self enforced confines.

I want what lays beyond...
But I am afraid...
And more...

I must embrace the unknown.
Be fearless...
And take to the darkness.

Because...

One can only fly free into greatness
if one is unafraid to take the leap
into changing winds.
My head, my heart, they are empty,
producing, containing nothing.
Yet, they are stuffed to the max,
flooding with thoughts, emotions, worries, hopes.
How can one be so empty, yet so full?
I am a ghost existing,
alive and dead in this twisted world.
They drain us of vitality and fill us with emptiness.
We are the lost.
Don’t bother looking for us,
we are already gone, found.

who paved the way that we feign?
we face the days and smile in pain
please take away this stain retained
we need to break these chains we claim
facing a hell in heaven's name
let us stay within a grace maintained
we know we won't face this pain in vain
we put our faith in a weightless reign

She writeth mellifluous calligraphy
When she speaketh in her mother tongue;
She's ineffable, irresistible,
Tis, she's mine chosen one.
                                                Her kaleidoscopic ambience
pirouettes around mine being, heaven's own, the most beautiful soul; O' how I'm blessed with this queen.

Supine I layeth, looking aloft mine glimpse, a brightness flashed, in Asian sash, turtle shell's around her hips.

At that moment, I hadst an epiphany, I was finally living, to God I owed thanksgiving, for this archangel he hadst sent to me.
