there are no halts from hungry minds.
a god, somewhere beyond our reach, granted only us these boundless meals; we should strive to be deserving of such a crop.
as we should be the connoisseurs of such fruitfulness.

clouds chasing the horizon,
as they entrance me to follow,
moving forward into the infinite, azure heavens above.
i then tried reaching for God’s hand,
but the tide washed everything away.

the roaring red sun;
black branches, reaching for its god.
humming heat trickling the skin.
crowded clouds, and the distant saffron hue.

you've never felt more alive,
underneath the hurling sky.

i stand cold and dormant,
collecting dust. often times unkept.
the glass covering forbids me from exhaling the air seeping inside; i’m suffocating.

I breathe,
Letting recognition
Settle in
And through
The experience
Of filling
My body
With air

Then I notice

Fear is a headline
a casting shadow
a waiting room
a cancer
a culture
a color

It is suddenly knowing
or never knowing at all

Fear is the hanging silence
the falling voice

It is a darkroom
where negatives
are developed

Fear is something
about your eyes:
wink?
blink?
pink!

It is always having to say
you're sorry

Fear is what comes
after a sentence
and before a final meal

It is opening the mail
