ancient tenets
turned to dust
gently blown away
by whispered gusts
of love’s rebirth

the rose bush
has lost its thorns
with growth anew
the blossoms form
a new earth

May I be a royal highness even if my community is made up of three
Gallivanting around as the crowds bowing
To sleep where I please
Holding the fridge open while wearing nothing but a crown
I will play out my fantasy while drinking liquid royalty
Hollow eyed, brittle winged
My affliction is my ritual
Loops of stars interlock, colliding with my nightmares
Although I lie awake
If only the world weren't so big,
All these souls would pass by my
Door:

And through my window cruising
I see a magnolia flowered sorrow,
The kind with moon beam eyes
And darkens your heart when you
See it;

Why is she in pain,
All alone in the grey.....
She has a wall surrounding her
Until the last day of hope
And a turbulent river encircling her.

Ah, but her steps are like the dove's,
Tranquil,
For gentlemen's sake I have to offer my
Hand holding hers like fragile balloon
Set off in the air, getting too close
To the sun and the continuity of the light,
So bright, it might burst in my hand.

She only needs some money,
I tell her to get in,
I'll buy her a meal.
She enters with grief,
The kind like in this poem,
But from her gentle eyes
The nocturnal sense is born
And the stars with her eyes.
I am taken,
What sweetness in her voice,
She asks me for a lemonade
As something familiar to herself,
The longing she has missed.

Why doesn't she get off the streets,
What holds her here?
I see the shake in her arm,
The tiredness of her body,
But she does not want to be saved.

I know her goodness
Had more than a conversation within,
That a life wished for better dreams
Haunts like dawn and dusk,
Touching her like a ghost.

"I need my fix"

I giver her ten dollars.
What horrid reality she lives in,
She walks away,
Turns back and offers a sentiment,
" I needed this meal, and
Thanks for just being nice"

Her hope is barefoot and barren,
Who will save her life?
I only know soon I will
Be a voice, an echo in her soul.
Between sunset,
And the fall of night
That's where my thoughts of you are kept
Buried deep within the twilight
Too bright for dark
Too dark for day
They're in the gloaming
That's where they'll stay
I think of you
When the sun hides its face
Before the moon
Finds its place
The sense of days end
Lingers in the colours
Memories of you
More vivid than any other
You were the moons glow
The sun, shining bright
So I hid you in the gloaming
Now, you're only twilight
Who is the perfect man

All the links of dripping bonds
words of no hope is her missing man
fighting among life so cold
blindness would be a gift she was told~

Her deepest emotions, are links to hard to breath
all that is weathered askew that she needs
her mans heart beats with the moon
breathing one breath in last darkness noon~

How long does a woman weep
does it last from the past
screaming for a better life to live one more day
with nothing and no more strife
this typical surrender is often betrayed
that has bowed to divinity presence~

So you see, there once was this perfect man
he loved her from head to toe
took her in his mind,
and promised to never let go~

Their whirlwind romance traveled the worlds
tears and laughter were shed she was told
but beauty ruled the day~ and never went away
he made his humble way, with love and satisfied tears to stay~

Across continent and roaming in her heart of hearts
and pleased her every whim....kissed her eyes
cried when others tried to part their lives
but never and never did anyone hurt their love~

She wanted him for herself ... but knew that could never be
for their worlds extended bounteries ... that she could never know
to be in a safe mode, she withdrew into her soul
and fell into her mold ... that tore her apart she knew~

Anger did grow... she withdrew... hated herself
didn't know what to do~...maybe just maybe
she would love another one day~

Was he the perfect man?**
