The only cure for me
Is your voice
And
I admire the
Stunning
Bottle
It
Comes
In
The sound of a voice can heal better than printed words

In shadows deep,
where whispers dwell,
Fingers trace, like ink in a spell.
On ribs exposed, secrets unfurl,
A dance of touch, in passion's swirl.

Parting sheets, like sanctified rites,
Skin worshiped under moonlit nights.

A surge of wonder, hearts converge,
In silent pleas, desires emerge.
To be adored, in moments tender,
Lost in the reverie of love's splendor.

and when i looked at you
i saw the kind of forevers that people swear don't exist,
that people dream about

i’m grateful for the nights
i can’t sleep
for the time i get to spend
with the stars—
none of us knowing
why we have to exist
in the dark,
but choosing to shine anyway
4am and counting

"Forever?"* is too long;
"Love me?" is too difficult;
"Stay?" is too needy;
"Hold me?" is too awkward...

Some how my questions are always wrong,
I just want to regain the love that I once felt;
But I'm left with broken bones and broken heart on the ground pleading,
And he dusts himself off, walking away telling me to *"keep going onward."
*Love has never worked with me...*

How do you keep going when you're so battered?

Break me to nothing,
Burn me to ash
Cut me to pieces
Leave me for dead

I'll rise alive instead

Hit me and bruise me
Love me and leave me
Fill me then drain me
Take away my home

I'll live inside all alone

Give me a name then take it away
Give me hope then don't let me stay
Give me religion and tell me not to pray
Hold out your hand for me to take

Then burn me alive, left dead at the stake

I'll save myself
From the misery

I felt a shift in overwhelming air
It tingled against my sensitive eyes
I felt the breeze run fingers in my hair
And I felt where the Earths heart really lies

The sun rested its arms against my face
And brushed away the shards blown asunder
Took me in and gave me a humble place
Beneath it's warm wings safe from the thunder

The rain washed away my dry salted tears
Held me in blankets of security
Erased my frothing belligerent fears
In a stronghold of true sincerity

This is the place that I call my real home
It's a place that I have built on my own

Against the sky is the Pillar of Light
Hands outstretched ready at our open backs
Milky Way our Guardian of the night
Is everything that our world hereby lacks

Tentative to show its face to our eyes
The Red Moon peeks out behind a curtain
For a few minutes it will socialize
Of our humanity it is certain

Along the line our lineage has crossed
Stardust lingers in the blue of our veins
Our existence was very nearly lost
Resilient Stardust helps us remain

So you see that we are made of star stuff
Because being human was not enough
Wrote this for a Language Arts Project. It's still a work in progress but I thought I would share.
He’s no musician.
He doesn't make melodies through violin and guitar strings.
Yet he composed, haunting ballads in dramatic tempos,
Rhyming every lyric,
Harmonizing, making it dance in a musical euphony.

He’s no seamster.
Yet he cuts and he traces,
plain words and printed phrases;
Then he sews and he weaves it skilfully,
into a lovely concrete poetry.

He’s no painter.
He just has a palette of pigmented letters,
splashing colorful lines on his blank canvass.
A blast of contained evocative memories,
Streaking and shading mixtures of kaleidoscopic imagery.

He’s no storyteller.
Yet from him, I heard the most romantic tales-
One, of the moon and its lover sea.
Reciprocating shy glances, whispering I love you’s,
while kissing behind the sprawling mountains.
Though the dawn will come, they do not fear.
For after the majestic tribal sun leaves his stage,
There’ll the lovers be once again reunited.

He's no poet.**
Yet he writes--
stanzas and verses.
And oh! it revives,
every strand of emotion,
every sense of intuition,
Inside me.
A lyrical perception,
Sheer perfection,
Arousing perpetual reactions,
From me.
I am not good at this. I just want to express my pure gratitude, appreciation and awe for you.

"I am no poet. Never thought of myself as one. Just a guy dabbling clumsily in words"
Yet even, everything you do amaze me.

Thank you all wonderful people on Hello Poetry. I just realized this moment that this poem was featured as Daily poem yesterday.  I have never imagined any of my work will be posted as daily. I took a note of the serenity
The peaceful quake of silence
The candid chatter of simple thoughts
And those eyes

I fell head first into those romantic chasms
A regal beauty dwelled inside
Swimming in the complexity of those orbs
Always examining

Taken by the deep green mirrors
A perfect image of a rainy forest
They drizzled with a wisdom
Beyond

So very beyond this human earth
Transcending into the deepest means of matter
Into something that takes form
But no meaning presented to such simple beings

An enigma in those eyes
Watching with such jagged edges
They cut like the smoothest blade
A bittersweet injury

One may fall captive
Beneathe the brush of those black lashes
To the tops of rosy cheeks

And the mischievous grin
Which up turns such wicked lips
