Waves crash against the sand,

i click in my retainer

of course, i can’t
even keep my teeth
 straight

i think about her and

wish what we had was
special

then i take out my retainer

because i remember the gap

between her teeth

Like a squall in the clear sky,

I floated like a feather in the clouds.
