In a Garden full of Roses.
One Rose was mercilessly plucked.
The Beauty of the Garden still remains.

on a sea strand,
have you watched empty shells
mercilessly tossed from sea to shore
and from shore to sea?

often I shrink and reduce to such a shell,
with jagged and broken edges
colorless and empty

among many a debris cast on the shore,
i lie half buried under the sand
waiting for some mighty wave
to wash me away
all the way to the sea

how tedious is my voyage
shuttling from him to her
and from her to him
unable to openly confess
who weighs more
on the balance of preference

through how many alleys and by ways
I have wandered, questioning my identity!
am I a puffer fish, being toxic
the fisher men have discarded?
a jarring note in a discordant symphony?
I wonder....! I often ask myself!

destined to grow
in mercurial climes,
planted in arid shallow soil
with the tap root trimmed,
branches pruned,
growth denied,
I, a stunted bonsai!

still I dream to be a towering tree,
that in profusion gives fruits and shade!
a ****** aspiring to be a Goliath
a hollow reed,
longing at once to be the singer and the song!
When a divorce occurs, the threat of losing the home and losing the purpose of life confronts a child, especially in the younger age. Children of divorced parents experience a real trauma and they begin to doubt about their own identity!

the lyrics wander through
his confused mind
yet the meaning of them
he couldn't find

all the words
so strangely arranged
as if forming a thought
process really deranged

we listen to what he
conveys in the disjointed song
the composition is so
alien of rhythmic tong

he talks about the end
and about a beautiful friend
he makes reference to
an ancient snake
whilst the music drones
with a resonant quake

drama builds
as the tune plays
father
I want to **** you
mother
I want
I want
what does he want to do
screaming in language
so askew

the trip he took
on psychedelic LSD
might but give us a blue bus
insight to the drug's creativity

Refugees blown high

And wide

To interbreed-

The race evolves
But
Beware the weeds

What's the best way
to celebrate one's birthday?

To throw a party?
To cut two cakes -
One for birthday, another for promotion?
To be with loved ones - called a family?
To cherish oneself and make goals for future?
To teach art to the less privileged children?

Yes, I did it all this time!

The best of everything was the part
when I taught art to the less privileged children
But to my surprise,
These cute children taught me
more than what I could teach them!
It was- how to be happily happy with minimalism.

I spent two hours of my birthday
With them
Teaching them art
And it was so awakening,
Their happy expressions of art
Made me more happy.

They gifted me that day a smile
Which was unconditional
Few were orphans,
few children of a single parent
With less of money
but more of heart!

Their smiling aura
Amidst all odds
taught me how to live
and be happy minimally!
A lesson to be learnt this 28 years of life
To be happy minimally.
Thank you all for your wishes on my birthday.
Always love to be at home called hellopoetry.
Chocolates have tasted many
Dark bitter white
Candied and sweet
Local
And from different parts of the
World
Loved them all ,when I ate them
Yet
One, I love the most
Is Cadbury’s Dairy Milk

Unwrapping the purple-golden wrapper
The aroma sweet
Melts in the mouth always a lovely treat
Sweet memories of childhood it brings many
Of sharing the love and care
