Darkness envelopes you like a cloak
Sometimes it catches you by the throat
Like a big, warm, furry coat, pulled tight
Sometimes it hugs you  like a summer vest, breezy and light

Darkness comes whether welcome or not
Darkness comes if it's cold or hot

If Darkness is not welcome at your door
Take the time to know yourself, explore

There maybe stress in your life that keeps you seeking the light
But make the time to form a routine
And suddenly you will be able to see

That Darkness comes before the light
Rests your body and mind
Just search for a haven and you will find
A friend in Darkness when it descends
A friend to greet you when the day ends
I think we all struggle with sleeping at times whether it's work, family, finances
I sleep a lot better these days and writing helps with that but also I have a better work life balance, I no longer have a stressful job and I'm not constantly rushing somewhere.

Once i saw a tower, on top grew a flower.
The flower was dark, but comsumed the light, that had traveled a billion mile flight.
When you are sad, even the least of light, can make your day bright.

Growing a crush
Involves squishing, crunching
The heart
To hold back giant feelings

Falling in love
Is crashing face first into the pavement
Off the cliff of a mountain
Hoping someone catches the fall

My demons tell me to close my mouth
or else they'll come out

I haven't spoken a word
writing down everything is much safer

I've seen people question my existence
telling me if I lie everyday
Who's the real me

What's your name

I have multiple versions of myself
I'm always someone else
depending who you are

What's your name

I don't have a age
Its just my soul

I'm only a ghost

I'm the monster under your bed

The real me lies inside my head
She watches tv all day

I Plug in a charge to my wrist
for tomorrow's energy

I spit out fire when I'm angry

I tell my demons to be quiet or out
They'll have to move somewhere else

I've spoken almost about everything

Now everyone is scared to be my friend
