She wants nothing more than
Attention,
Just a single sign, a
Mention

That someone, somewhere,
Understands-
And maybe they'll be her set of helping
Hands

clouds of words
from places diverse
come floating to the sky, soaking my heavy mind

they are unconnected and meaningless
stray birds wingless
kept in cage of isolation, no relation to find

when brought together
held close by a tether
they mix up to join, combine and bind

then in a pattern they flow
rise high, fall low
dancing with passion, in a rhythmic fashion aligned

a story they tell
in my thoughts that does dwell
feelings get expression, sincere confession, to soul they're affined

not seeking perfection
but creativity and introspection
my humble quill, tries to spill, colors of several  kind

my flawed verse is terse
in emotions it's immersed
it portrays a view, connects with you, as my heart unwinds
Inspired from 'When you write' by Pradip Chattopadhyay.
I guess this is how I write poems.

With Thee

Not sure how this  would figure
But we could've been closer,
Things...would've been better
Time and circumstances keep us far from each other
Long ago, I sketched this place on paper
It is now etched mentally... permanently,
Here, where long, swaying branches dangle gracefully
A beautiful oasis, where trees surround
Along a placid stream, where crystal waters abound.

This is where i go
When feeling sad, or aglow,
I simply close my eyes
And easily, I am in an isle

A place created by me
Not just YOU or I exist, but WE
Could only be shared WiTH THEE
A place I've aptly named, THE ISLE OF WE

While working on this magical space
My brush strokes just fell into place,
Not two, not one ever strayed,
With lighter hues of aqua-blue...green...never blae.

It matters not if I'm between a dream and reality
It is where you are, it is where I want to be
When I keep to myself, when I close my eyes
I am instantly here, in this isle
Perfectly beside you,
Holding hands, we take in the view...

Paradise is here,
In this, unknown sphere,
From this isle, I would never flee
Where only I, exist.....WITH THEE.

***and I can't live a world without your love...
I wish that you could be dreamwalking along with me
I wish that you could be dreamwalking along with me
I wish that you could be dreamwalking along with me....***

A word of advice:
If you don't mean what you say,
then do not say it.
Something we can all do better.

The hardest part is believe more in yourself than the weight of failure on your tongue.
The lump of give up stuck in your throat.
Broken fingertips that want to surrender.
I pull myself up by my lungs. Rearrange my insides well enough to hide my weakness.
And believe. For one second. That I can do this.
The strength to continue fighting even though motivation is hard to discover.

Dislocate me from existence
Put me with the stars
Far enough away to see the distance
Into darkness without reprieve
Under burned down trees
and their shadows

I do not need your voice to convince me of things
like worth
or the color of my blood
These things I am sure of
My heart writes me letters about these things

Forget about what we said we were
Remember I was alone in your company
Your words filled with hot air
Boiling your words
Evaporating anything permanent

Liberate our nerves from any feeling we might of shared
Untie my limbs
Stretching out the presence
Drenching my skin with freedom
Calming the gooseflesh upon my bones

The well in our chests hides secrets
Ones that your words never pulled
The well filled with tainted water
So I added whiskey
And liberated your grasp

I will forever forgive you
Blending business with pleasure
Drowning yourself in an empty well
Dragging feet into the desert
of our yesterdays choices
