Roses are black
Violets are dead
I'm such a good poet
I live in your head.

For the "you"
not the one you wear to work
but the one that looks lovely
at first morning sight

For the "you"
not the one you cover so immensely
with scarves and jackets
but the one that dances in their underwear
on a lazy Saturday

For the "you"
not the one that wears the glasses
of work ethics
but the one whose fire
is wild enough, it makes wildfires dim in jealousy

For the "you"
not the one that ferments in silence
but the one that screams sultry verbatim
now and then that surprises
all those around

For the "you"
not the one that nestles in sobriety
from 9 to 5
but the one that ******* to the first taste of alcohol

For the "you"
not the one that's under construction
under the umbrella of perfection
but the one
that flaunts those flaws
on that runway
so seductively
it makes
perfection
curl in
envy

This poem is like one large knot.
I'm failing to unravel my thoughts;
Struggling to get my point across.

This poem isn't right.
Mulling the feelings over all night.
Revising only to continue to revise.

This poem isn't what I want it to be.
Typing it out before pressing delete.
Leaving each line incompl-
For NM

I knew I'd get something out... even if it's redundant.

His warm smile kisses my deepest pain
While I watched my own sadness **** the sunset in his eyes
The monsters in my head
Are the same monsters who swallowed his happiness
Our fire was no longer beautiful, but dim
It eventually burnt out,
and turned everything darker than
the night
He stopped telling me I was lovely;
And I stopped feeling safe in his embrace
My desire to be adored
Left us lost and broken

He said; What up ma

Oh yo you can't speak

******* *****

******* trick

acting like you're to good for me

YO *****
         I'm talking to you

You're here waiting for this bus

like everyone else

What the ***** wrong with you

He walks closer and bends down

                        all in my space

All up in my  face & I've yet to utter a sound

I stand up & try to move round

He says yo *****

                   I'm talking to you

Pulls out a bunch of cash & waves it at me

I smile a smile so sugary sweet

He says; that's it ****

I bet now yo ***** *** gonna speak

I walk slowly up to him then look back

I see the bus is coming

so I have to act fast

He's still waving his massive cash

I get close to him

placing my hands on each shoulder

                             I lean in
         so close

   I whisper in his ear

That's Mis ****

While my knee crashes
                          directly into his *****

I jab him right in his face

1st my right fist

             then with my left

and snatched all his cash

I run & hop my *** on
the bus

Every girl needs that one special someone in her life.
She needs someone to tell her she is not only ****, but beautiful.
Tell her she is even beautiful in her own way too.
Tell her the positive advice she needs to hear for her to be led on the right road.
Be her shoulder to cry on as you wipe her tears away... even if you made her beautiful eyes cry waterfalls.
Not only compliment her in person, but also through the phone.
Call her randomly throughout the day even if it is just for a minute... to remind her how much you love her.
You do not have to buy her bouquets of flowers to surprise her, just simply go for romantic walks and pick a pretty flower for her and put it in her hair.
Doing that one little thing will certainly brighten up her day.
All every girl wants is to be loved and to smile, not a fake smile for show and tell, but a real genuine smile.
It is the simplest little things that matter the most.
Write her love letters so she can re-read them when your are unavailable.
Surprise her by putting little gifts or poetry in her locker, or in her books, or even sneak it into her bag.
She wants the romantic walks on the beach, a candle lit dinner, picnics, stargazing, him playing a song for her acoustically, holding her hand in public, kissing in public, going to an arcade, wearing matching clothes and much more.
Every girl wants a ring on her finger.
But if you can not afford a fancy ring, then buy her a promise ring, get down on one knee, and purpose to her and have that promise ring be a promise that she will get the ring of her dreams eventually.
Every girl not only wants love, but to be loved.
Its the little simplest things that can matter the whole world to her.

Did you ever wake up
From a dream that felt so real
You can't be sure if it actually happened?

I was going to write a letter
I was going to send a text
I was going to make I call

But I can't say if I did or not
