this is a cry
this is a cry
this is a cry
this is a

parking lot. that is how big this world is. a sad space between the trees, east to a canteen, west to a badminton field. head south, there's a toilet. the way out is in the north.

we are full of cold cars and stranger's sweat. we are full of leaves, branches, fruits that fall anonymously. of raindrops, of muds that stain our clean white shoes. we are full.

come, wind. come and break the trees. come so they can wreck us into scraps.

it is no harm to the living. roots keep them alive. what does that make a human? people are abandoned, fences are mistaken as a protection. the lonely bridge. the raging river. the subject. the unidentified. everything is now an object to the eye

and it wrenches our emotion until we give them all up, of course, until we've got nothing left, of course, until breathing is solved and the lungs unravel

listen
this has been a cry all along

Breaking a mirror won't bring financial ruin,
Unless you keep breaking them.

Carrying a rabbit's foot is just weird.
Ask the rabbit.

If you walk under a ladder,
You're ringing the wrong rung.
Enrol in a Health and Safety seminar.

If a black cat crosses the path of your vehicle,
Swerve,
You might clip it.

Pulling wishbones.... see Rabbit's Foot.

Bad news comes in threes,
And fours, fives...

You can bang on my wood anytime.

Lucky pennies don't exist in Canada.

Spilling salt is safe, and cheap.
If the price increased 1000%,
We'd still buy and spill.

Wishing on stars, candles and such
Is like holding air in your hands.

If you find a four-leaf clover,
Use EPA approved **** killer.

Don't step on a crack,
Don't sell crack,
Don't smoke crack.

Good Luck!
There are no pennies at all in Canada. Done away with and for good reasons. We all know $9.99 is $10.00. Well in Canada, so is $9.98 and $9.97. We have advanced math here. $9.96 is now $9.95, but so is $9.94 and $9.93. You can figure out the pattern. It works well, and we save millions at the mint, and the tailor's.

                      illuminates the sky.
Cloud cover masks the stars
The space between the sky and the earth,
      Constricted...
      Confined.
Dark...            Gloomy...
Nature's mood ring.

Leaves rustling,
          Crickets sing,
                     Insects hum,
A nearby bat chirps its warning,
Mother Earth's symphony stops me in my tracks.
                   Chaotic and beautiful.
            Wind whips through the trees,
                              Like whispers and cries.

I threw my hands out the window, reaching for the things that would never be mine.
The kiss that you placed upon her cheek with quivering lips,
a flower that has begun to grow in beauty through death.
Spider web dreams that ensnare your mind to a slow motion play that never ends.
Waking up to shades of buttery yellow and hazy blues, searching hands and restless eyes.
I tried to grasp the feeling of love, the wordless clench in your chest that couldn’t hope to be explained.
The taste of forever that was both sweet and bitter but always left an endless flavor.
In the search of all things real, I discovered that I had lost myself to a dream.
Of soft lips and delicate roses, silky hands and beautiful eyes.
The dream where I could reach forever.
boy,
jealous boy,
i'm crazy in love
with you,

if i tremble like a
a february leaf,
gold and brown
on the black branched
beech hedge,
where the snow's
fragile kiss melts
the night into
whispers,

and the wind,
wild with its
northern chill,
flutters those
leaves, blanched
like our love-starved
lips of
colour,

beneath a sky
of midnight's sea,

then i would melt,
like this sky
of midnight's sea,

crazy in love,
with my boy
of grey clouds,

who sweeps the
crying sea, with
strange whispering,

who kisses me so
beautifully in his arms

that i sigh and cry and die
for his love,

boy,
jealous boy,
i'm crazy for
your love,

like a star
glistening in the deepening
night where the
nightingale sings
and the grey clouds
drift forever in their
stream-like dream.

love me like the drawer where we put all of the refrigerator magnets when we got a new one.

get exited about little things.

i wear your name on my feet like a badge
of blisters
parts that peel sigh ballads of your heartbeat,
begging more steps to be taken in search of it,
haunting each heelfall with unheeded lessons about proper footwear.

my chain of milk jug lids stretches out across the parking lot-
wishing to find yours
