These memories blanket me
like the cosmos above-
countless worlds I will
never experience.
The stars above sparkle
like the unsaid words and
our broken promises-
out of reach yet oh
so beautiful.

i need to stop
setting myself on fire
to keep you warm.

I’ve scuffled with wanting greatness,
A grip that’s held onto me tight
Squeezing the life out til I’m just tired
Weak and stressed
Wanting everything to be just alright

Don't cry because it’s over
Smile because it happened
No matter the loss of a dear one or something else
Don't just let it go set it free
Keep the memory in your heart
The ache has to subside
It is in its place
You can move on and set it free and yourself
