the sun will
kiss the earth
each day
and soon
these dashing lines
of youth
hard charcoal, pen and ink
dancing, arousing
the parchment
shall also fade
portraits ought to
be lived
not
preserved
This began as an exercise in Architecture Design class. We each had to do a self portrait and design a space for ourselves for the rest of our life! One space! Very introspective n mind altering exercise!

Life culminates and dissipates;
I remember to remember,
Then run out of space.
Your distant face in retrospect,
Crystallized by neurology,
Leaves me longing for an apology
Some respite for what you did.
The clouds come rolling in,
And you stay gone.
The wild runs within my skin,
And you're still gone.
I've learned a lot since then,
I've learned how to be me,
Taught by the moon's apogee,
Experience distilling my being
Into something that I hope isn't like you.

Stay gone, Steve,
Stay away from me,
Rot alone in your empty home.
One day you'll hear about me,
And realize I did everything I've done
Regardless of you.

I have read so many wonderful poems,
haiku's, 10 words, so many more, and none are alike!
But we tend to forget about spoken word poems,
Hello Poetry, can you make it possible to share our spoken words as well as our massive pile on's of endless poetry. Spoken Words would add to the sight, and only make it better.
I wish I could also Use Hellopoetry on my mobile phone, in an app,
I'm not sure about anyone else, but that would maybe add to HP

Please consider what I've had to say, c:
Please send repost like and share and comment anything else you think the sight needs since it's growing in great ways. Please share and like if you agree c:
it seems we got it wrong

lustful bow tenses
war of lust or lust of war
mankind is groping
This is my first conscious attempt at a senryu after being inspired by several skilled writers on HP! I researched the format - it must be 5-7-5, 17 syllables, dark humor with a punch line at mankind! :) Always appreciate the feedback to improve.

There are moments in life when I don't have any idea what I am doing anymore.
It's like my all of my days are bound to start and end the same way.
And I keep asking myself,
When will my world start spinning the other way around?
When will the changes begin?
I'm sick of having to do my daily routines.
I'm sick of everything that makes my life ordinary.
I'm tired and I just want to feel something new.
just thought about this last night while studying lol
