The Lion of Juda
Micah K Apr 2020
As he stood among the people, they didn't see.
As he died among the people, they didn't see.

As he came back from the dead, they still didn't see.
When he comes back, they will see.
Just thought I'd write about something involving good Friday

Poet's Curse
Micah K Apr 2020
There he stands alone,
Forever in thought yet no end result,
With endless possibilities every one explored,
Closure not found,
Mind forever bound,
So is the trap of thought.
I wrote this in a time when I had hundreds of poems in my head never being able to pin point one.

My Soundscape
Micah K Apr 2020
As I step into this world what do I see?
The flutter of a butterfly or the buzz of a bee,
The wind running along the sky or the roar of the sea,
Then the faint whisper dispelling my sweet harmony,
Then I'm yanked out of the world so suddenly,
As I take off my means of escape I lose to my sensitivity.

What She Is
Micah K Apr 2020
A treasure that can't be reached,
A blooming flower in a dying meadow,
A friend in hostile territory,
A start shining bright light up my day,
A sparkling gem glimmering in the sunlight,
A reminder who I am.

Laughable
Micah K Apr 2020
Laughable, is he who see's immediate success and dives for it without considering the future,
Laughable, are those who find satisfaction in just skimming the surface of potential,
Laughable, is she for when the truth shows itself she doesn't believe it,
Laughable, is I for I am humanity.
When it comes to the future we are all ignorant

Star gazed eyes
Micah K Apr 2020
Endless lights filling the sky,

To them she wishes to fly,

To reach out to them so high,

She doesn't know why...

But their light echo in her star gazed eyes.
She sits alone on a hill

Backwards
Micah K Apr 2020
The world is a backwards place,
Sometimes it seems there is not enough space,
For all of humanity to run a race,
Oh how we've fallen in this case...
But back again we stand,
For such is human nature to demand.
