Her eyes remind me of a sunrise,
They're both beautiful,
But if I had choice to choose which one to see every morning,
For the rest of my life,
Her eyes would beat a sunrise any day.

I see the tears in her eyes
The bruises on her skin
I can hear her cries
The pain she is in

I see the marks that form
That she tries to keep out of sight
Wearing her jackets when its warm
And her shades at night

I see the lies she tells
Her secrets she hide
Saying that she fell
That she never cried

I see the beauty in her eyes
I see how everyday abit of her soul dies
I see a beautiful black butterfly
And I know why she cries
The great Moon rises
a phoenix ascends from ash
a cold heart ignites.

The breeze through the trees casts shadows as the sunlight dances between every limb &  bough.

The birds chirp and rustle, insects buzz and people bustle as the clouds roll along.
Groups of happy souls mill about, blissfully so as I sit and I think and I watch as they go.

I labor for peace, inward and out, yet never find confidence... only doubt.
I sit and I watch as the world ages around
me and I think to myself
'What a beautiful day to not exist.'

four years ago i became a carpenter
and started to build a wall
between myself and the world.
people came and went
and tried to take out the bricks
like they were playing jenga.
and some people walked up to me
with a sledgehammer in their hand
and knocked me down with the wall.
as the years went by
my wall got taller
and the people became fewer
until there was no one left.
i'm starting to rethink my blueprints
because it's getting lonely over here
and i forgot the windows.

I will pretend
That you are beside me.
Arm touches yours
At each bump on the road.
I turn around;
Your face clandestine.
These baggage
Standing oppressively.

I will pretend
That you are beside me.
Because the last
Time I could not forget.
Tiny flutters
Rise and fall just the same.
I recognize
Your mark on everything.

I will pretend
That you are beside me.
Even if I'm
Already going home
A great distance
I allow you to be.
Forever gone,
A fact I'll never see.

the thing is you dont have to tell me
we're going to be forever
you dont have to tell me
we'll always be together

you dont have to tell me youre staying
you dont have to tell me what youre feeling
you dont have to shout your love
you dont have to do anything

'cause baby when our enigmatic silence floats
thats the time when i think of you
and how much of your presence
is actually there
times i think
