we do not write poetry
we write mirrors

who read
looking for their

Thank you for breaking my heart,
Because of that I learned that I’m capable of feeling and giving love.
Thank you for choosing to leave,
Because of that I learned that I get myself attached to someone too soon.
Thank you for keeping the distance,
Because of that I learned to treasure my personal time.
Thank you for not loving me,
Because of that I know that someday, someone will love me and be sure of me.
For now I will continue to put up my wall and guard my heart.
Thank you for the memories.
Thank you

if you wanted to
be a light
surrounded by light
but then he shifts his gaze
the moonlight
dancing through his being
but you’d do great
up there
be a light
where no one has dared to be
and with that
he left
