I was dead, by that river, that night, at the dam,
My heart is now beating as to the rhythm of
your heart,
to the pulse of your words, you say and not say,
and to your whispers I hear and not hear.
At nights it stops, when you depart,
When we run out of words, It beats slow,
as if I've ran out of breath,
and I slip to the other world,
where we speak without words, our own world, beyond words, language and gestures.
When we can't bear the
untouchable presence anymore,
the beautifully frustrating absence anymore,
not anymore it beats.
It stops.
When all the love and lust and craving for
eachother becomes an overwhelming bursting of tears inside out of our hearts and minds,
when our worlds collapse,
when we're helplessly falling to sleep,
Though not hopeless for a sweet dream,
my heart stops beating,
my body goes numb and soul begins the journey,
Lips cracks, missing your tenderness
which I've never tasted.
Willing not to give up, my body seeks
the aid of the dreams, to stay alive till a new dawn, to hold back soul's journey.
As the dreams fade I wake up to your morning.
It has become a routine.
And That's how I stay alive.
To be near you.
To beat as a heart.
To be the wave in your oceans.
To reach for a sight of your shores.
That's why I stay alive.
And this is how you keep me alive.

Edgar Alan Poe is dead. Seriously, I read it.
He died in October 1849 - or did he?
Do we really know?

Poe wrote about death a lot,
he teased with it, it was his favorite tool.
He kept death close and twisted it like a knife.

His profession was the macabre, the shadow,
the summoned dread and the gruesome aftermath.

He was a writer and a critic - what’s more dreadful than a critic?

They say he died from “unknown causes”
- how absolutely perfect.

There's fear in you that you can't see.
It's why you're numb with apathy.
It's why you never want to try.
It's why you're working 9 to die,

It's why you put yourself in line.
It's why you lie and say you're fine.
It's why you stand when you should dance.
It's why you're waiting for your "chance".

I won't say I have the answers
or that I'm the answer to your prayers.
I can't tell you what it's like in heaven
or that I can take you there.
But I can tell you that I'll listen.
And I'll show you that I care
by telling you the things
you've never had a chance to hear.
I won't promise sunshine and rainbows
or that I can make it all okay.
What I promise is I'll try to help you believe
that there's always a reason to stay.

Human emotions are the most fervent.
It could be love for a day and hatred for another.
Love is captivating,
And hatred distrupts the mind.

When people emotions are intertwined
They lose their perceptiveness
Then,
It will be hard to have the world in one's mind.

I am a body of people
from my past,
stammering I love you's
and sudden goodbyes.

I saw a 10 year old,
Walking down the street,
With a handful of bowl
And in another a younger kin.
Chanting "what was our sin?"

I saw a handsome lover,
Beside a lonesome tree
Strangled by the memories
Of his lover who loved somebody else
Trying to stop how does it feel.
Writing up the blues to heal.

I saw an old aged person
Who barely can walk
He was happy, had a family
Not so long ago
Sitting with his basket
upon the sidewalk
With nowhere to go

I hope you think about them
If not me when you say
Life is unfair.

I saw a mother of two,
Sunken beneath a pannier.
Dreary eyes and a crooked leg,
Says the burden of life's heavier.

I saw a husband, a son,
A father of one.
Miles away from home,
Aiming to be suffice,
Guarding the border,
A few laughin' at the sacrifice.

I saw a man in a white coat,
People say he's akin to god.
Broken in tears saying
'There are battles that can't be won
For these hands saved so many
Now loosing a loved one.'

I hope you think about them
If not me when you say
Life is unfair.

I saw the dreamers
Quitting before they die.
Heard them saying that
they gave a million try.

I saw people dying in lone
That were once on the Billboards
At times there's no one to hold
I saw blind men crossing roads.

I saw the animals crying for the lost homes,
People fencing their little domes.
I saw the birds crying for the lost trees,
The poor cries and no one sees.

And yet you say
Life is unfair.
Amidst so much of suffering life goes on.

Once many beautiful souls came here to share
Their words of beauty, love, and despair
From every corner of the world they'd write
Pouring out their hearts with all their might

Their words would weave a tapestry
Of human life and history
But lately, something strange has occurred
those souls start disappearing, their voices unheard

No more verses from those who once wrote
No more stories, no more anecdotes
Their words have faded into the night
And their absence leaves us without light

What happened to those lost poets, we may never know
Perhaps their hearts grew weary, and they had to go
But their legacy lives on, in the words they've penned
Their voices still echo, in the hearts of friends

Yet still we hold a glimmer of hope
That one day they'll return and we'll elope
With their words and stories, once more to share
And their presence on the website, we'll again declare

So let us not lose faith in those we miss
For their absence may just be a momentary abyss
And one day we may find them, writing anew
Their voices once again joining the poetic crew
Dedicated to all those Poets who stopped writing or left HelloPoetry for some unknown or personal reasons . We all are here waiting for you to start writing once again and fill this website with your beautiful presence  . Hope it reaches to all those lost Poets .
