Greyson Fay Dec 2014
The painted roses have wilted to shrubs.
Rain showers against glass windows and my drawings.
Water seeps into ink
moving down my desk like a grey shadow
They cast tears down my portraits and fog through my still-lives
my fascinated eyes sit and stare.
Ruined and no longer beautiful
They refect the change in my life
How quickly came the rain's results.
How quickly came life's consequences
My insides filled with my crimes and sins
I find this injustice the worst.

The same salt in our tears is searing our cuts.
But yours,I'd tend to first.
To try and show how much I care
I will try my best to bear
The consequences life has given me.
Remember, the salt in your wounds must be cleared before mine
I really dont mind.
..Everyone needs some sad things here and there...right?
If I told you that you mean
something to me
could you open up your mind
and see yourself more clearly
don't you understand
you don't need to be royalty
you're just as great
as a new song from Demi
so let's stop pretending
that we're not who we want to be
let's start looking in the mirror
and liking who we see.
So let's stop lying to ourselves
we're just as good
as everyone else
don't let anyone bring you down
let's just paddle ahead on this ocean of emotion
and let's stay happy and not frown.
So don't let them tell you,
that you're not great
let's not be consumed
by our own hate
for the person we see,
let's decide our fate,
so don't let it bring you down
or you'll get cut
by the mirror shards on the ground,
but you're still here,
you're still around,
you're important.
So don't cry when I can't be found,
just look inside you
and hear the sound
of these words
inside you're heart
you're meaningful, important,
and if you feel sad just go back to the start,
and read this over and over again, until you understand.
I won't stop writing until you're smiling,
and only then this poem will end.
Just remember no matter what, life is only as great as you make it. : )

I stare into your eyes
defiant
Who are you to question me?
I who stands curagous and brave.
Strong and willing.
Greatfull and compassionate.
I have won

Armies of jealousy and propaganda
Holding no power.
They tumble and scrape.
A fit for escape.

Eyes open for the first time
*They are alone

Happy and smiling I fly through the sky.

Moaning and sick I ask the world why.

My
tongue
                              still
                    stings,
                              bitterly
                    burning
from
your
          aftertaste,
   love.
Oh my darling, what a mess we made...
Shipwrecked* heart
Sea of *betrayals

Misconceived idioms,
Blindly enslaved.
Was it really worth it anyway?
Fighting with hope;  a lost battle.
Fallible carcasses on a wooden platter.

Poisonous Ivy in my veins;
silent heartbeat bursting into flames.
Time is a thief,
buried beneath the sea.
Was it really worth the wait?
Fighting for love; a lost cause.
Permeable holes in an empty cup.
Troubling nature, impatient thoughts.

Infected,
Standing aloof.
Leveled indifference,
taciturn blind goof.
Lost chance; misleading poker glance.
Arms twisted, magnificent ache.
Ashes corroding the mechanical brain.

Bloodbath,
besieged wound.
Abrasive torture,
revealing the truth.
Cursed fortune; insensitive to pain.
Piercing a bullet through the soul,
expressed disdain.

Adamant rapture
with no return.
Imprisoned belief
with no more fire to burn.

An attempt at spoken poetry.
Thus, shifting to a more metaphorical/vague write than the usual rythmic verse.
