Heals temporarily like medicine

You can literally feel your heart racing
Your conscience and senses wrestling
Hungry for the immediate gain

Ok, this is the last time

You give in... Oh, so relaxing
Few hours later, guilt creeping in!

Many walked past
And all they saw was mud
He almost did the same
But for a moment, he paused
Looked right into the mud
A rare gemstone he found!

As a kid,
My mama thought me
the value of words
She would say...
Words are powerful,
never play with 'em
That's why I don't curse for fun
'cause ain't nothing fun about it

I like my food organic
So when I spit bars,
You can trust my bars are healthy
They've got protein for your body
and wisdom for your mind

I can't swear that I'm vegan though
But the only time I'm beefing,
I'm doing it with cutlery
And not with anybody
I feed on love
That's my source of energy

Quoting the words of Jesus
He said...
what a man eat doesn't defile him
But what comes out of his mouth could defile him
Said in a simpler way:
Your words could make or mar you

Just like the same drugs that heal
can also **** when abused
Words are that potent
They carry life and energy
It could be positive or negative

So use them to your own benefits
And not to your own detriments
Life is more spiritual than physical
Your words reveal who you truly are
'cause out of the abundance of your heart,
your mouth speaks!

Your uniqueness is located within
Get to know who you are beneath the skin
Let your true identity be expressly revealed
Isn't it a misplacement of self, living
as someone else?
Don't lose yourself while trying to please
Your first commitment should be to you
before anyone else
Discover who you really are and live it out
So that you don't get to the end of time
to realize that you haven't truly lived.

Every outing with you
Feels like déjà vu
Probably because
I had painted all these moments in my mind
Way before you were mine

In what appeared like a dream
The wise man with gray hair and beard having so much life in his eyes, said to me
Hey Son...Breathe life into your passion
Have doubtless faith in your vision
And accompany it with the right actions
Worry not about stumbling
Thoughts of failure will come as distractions
Keep your gaze on where you're heading
Not everyone will see what you see
Compare yourself not with those that
seem are ahead of you, it's no competition
Remember this is all about you and your purpose
Never fail to celebrate every success/achievement
Lastly, taking time off to unwind is not a sin

How do you deal with people?
If you are open,
They play you like a golf or tennis tournament

If you choose to live in your bubble
They use their words on you
Like it's a balloon pop game

At the end of the day,
What matters most is to
Be-you-to-(d)-full

Ask the corporations,
Are we not just profiles or data
Fed to some algorithms
To decide how we live our everyday life
Decides the things we see,
Shapes how we think,
Directs where our money goes
Do they still see us as humans
Or just mere consumers,
a means to more revenue
Profit is the number one goal
Even if they are putting holes
in many lives, families and society at large
So far the investors are happy
and their pockets are getting fat,
Nothing else matters, right?
Maybe when the machines fully take over
And we start to fight for our own lives,
We'll realize what we've done to ourselves.

Do you conduct a periodic census of your thoughts?
We are bombarded with streams of information every minute
The internet injects tons of data into our mind everyday
Those information subconsciously influences our thought patterns
We are a product of what we take in
Information influences your thoughts
Your thoughts influences your actions
Your actions influences your quality of life!

How can we walk together if we don't agree
How can we agree if you never listen to me
Everytime you go on your knees,
you're the only one that speaks
Before I say anything, you take to your heels
And there're things I could have revealed
Why have you turned prayer to a one-way street
It's meant to be a dialogue and not a voicemail
Next time you're in my presence, learn to sit still,
listen and receive instructions
That you might walk according to My will
And that you might be fulfilled.

We can make one another's issues feel lighter
Be a conduit of happiness today!

It's totally messed up that
man's worst enemies
are creatures of his own kind
People of darkened mind
with wickedness sown in their hearts
Evil beings
Beasts dressed in human skin
Preying on other's seeds
They care less about their own end
What is wrong with humanity
I just can't deal

It isn't everyone that leaves you that is a loss
As a matter of fact, some people might need to
go away from us for us to better flourish
and that's why a farmer would remove weeds
that are growing amongst his/her crops.

Out there are so many distractors,
Stealing our personal time with the Saviour
Instead of giving our attention to the Master
We have become attention addicts
In order to get a fix of attention,
We give our time to the things that don't matter
I wonder if that is the enemy's tactic
Planting bad seeds on our field
We have to act as the gardener that we are
We are to remove all impurities
And give our focus to the one who deserves it,
The Master!

What does peace truly mean,
Is it the absence of storms?

Is it being able to remain unperturbed
or unmoved by storms?

Is it by having immunity to storms?

Is it being able to command the storms to calm?

What does peace really mean?

Beauty beyond skin glow
Generosity with zero intentions of public show
A kind heart doing good acts,
seeking nothing necessarily in return
Resilient, knocked down a few of times,
yet always ready for another run
Peaceful as a dove
Fully present in the moment
Easily forgiving
Not too proud to apologize
Values integrity,
not the type to compromise.

I see that your face is bright and sunny
But deep within you, it's sad and wintry
I've delved beneath your ****** masking
I've found the emotions that you're hiding

I truly and deeply care
To see you genuinely smiling
I might not be able to take out
the causes of your aching

I just hope my presence will be comforting
I wanna see you glow in and out
You deserve to be truly happy
I'll offer listening ears
if you wanna talk it out

Fathers to a society
Is comparable to what
Feathers are to birds (+ more)
Able fathers help elevate the family
Like the feathers help a bird fly
Responsible fathers protect their home,
Providing shield and warmth
Like feathers do to birds
The presence of a father in a household
makes the family look beautiful
even from an outside view
just as the feathers of a bird
makes it look attractive.
