on that night
with winter
winds,
hums,
and miserable
breeze,
there he sat,
his eyes
wandering
from right to left
up and down
all around
corners to corners
branching
a thought
to another
a note
to a song
a word
to a poem.

him with his
glances,
stands
and built,
under that
moonlit sky
with starlights,
air filled with
warmth and
frost,
i witness his
cries,
heard his tears,
felt his fears.

i became
an overthinker
from worrying
about the other.
A terrible lover is similar
to a terrible piece of chicken.
You can choke it down
as expected, or cast
the remnants away
and move on.
Neither option is ideal,
but only one
is grounded in truth.

No one really knows,
Where we go.
No matter how strong,
Together,
And reinforced
We try to be;
There is
A force we can't control:
Fragility.

So,
Let's not
Think so much.

Our nature
Eludes true
Vulnerability.
he once told me
"you're eyes are gorgeous"
but i didn't believe you
i thought
"how could he love my brown eyes"
how could he love something so ugly

he told me
they were captivating
he could get lost in them
he could stare at them all day and never get tired of them
he pointed out all the colors they were in the sunlight
he pointed out how my eyes weren't just brown
they were green
and blue
and yellow
and brown.
he told me that he could lose himself in my eyes

i guess he lost himself so bad
that he left me
maybe i left him
but
to this day
i've learned to love my eyes.
my ex actually told me this, kinda made me cry writing this but oh well
Poetry is flowing over my skin
Lights me up from within

The way bubblegum feels
As it pops on my skin
Sticky and sweet
I feel a burst of fresh air
Pop inside of me
Lips lick the pink aftertaste
She uses stardust as her lipstick to make me fall in love with her everyday,
but i use gun powder to push her away.
