Dear internet friend
Even though we dont know each other
But i still look at you
As an accomplished mother
Most wont recognize your beauty
Your mind your eyes
Hold the windows to your soul
I see pain with thunderclouds and rain
Dont let them strain you for you have much to gain
Wisdom sits higher than spoils
Of the earth
Dont give up your hopes
Keep your head high in the celestrial
One day itll be a miracle
For daily we conquer the unconquerable
Pain illness disease toxins
That fact that we survive it all
Is astonishing
This not for blushing
This is something to provide
Your enemies with an ultimate crushing
I want you to know your beautiful
Inside and out
No matter what they say
You still got a friend in me
Peace and blessin' Yosef
2 am,
you slept,
knees curled in towards your chest,
a ball,
trying to protect the fragile bones
lying there.

3 am,
you cried,
gripped your pillow tight,
begged for the lost to come back.

4 am,
you showered,
cleaned the sweat from your
achy limbs.

tried to scrub
the sadness from your hair.

5 am,
you made tea,
looked at a picture of them,
and wept.

6 am,
you walked,
flowers in one hand,
a book of poems in the other.

7 am,
you kneeled like a pastor
besides their grave,
prayed for deliverance,
prayed to see their eyes,
just once more.

8 am,
you read to them,
love stories,
you told them about your adventures,
and how you aren't doing so well.

9 am,
you slept with your hands
dug in the dirt,
wishing you could dig them out
and hold them in your arms.

10 am,
you gathered your things,
and walked back alone.

11 am,
you flopped yourself on the bed,
you wished you were dead.
(Transferring my poems from poetfreak to here)

This is a poem about someone very dear to me who passed away a few years ago. Being without them feels terrible
She is your
Picture of perfection
In every measurable way

She loves you,
There's no question
She tells you every day

She tastes your
Deep obsession with
Her lips upon your face

She sees your
Every feature and
She sees more than just mistakes

She looks at you
In such a way that
Words cannot explain . . .

Behind your foggy eyes,
There's no disguise to
Shield your insecurity

Beyond those words
That fall so short
You simply say,
"I love you, Trinity."

She is your one exception
Because she knows
Your state of mind

She is your own reflection
Because you see her
Every time

You look into the mirror,
Searching for security

In your tortured mind
There is no fear

Because your thoughts
Emit a melody

In your well-worn heart,
You hear her

And reflecting back
You see

A picture of perfection
Looking back in your direction
Thoughts to myself. Dedicated to Trinity Britton, my flower
There's a full moon tonight.
I hope you look up and gaze at it.

That way, I can say we've done something
together.
Was it not raining
Just minutes ago?

I could swear my eyes
Were dripping with tears
But I didn't want you to know

You were always at your best
Under a cloudy sky
I won't let my weakness show

But it's time to say goodbye
There's rain in my eyes again
Oh, how could I stoop so low

I put the flowers on my cheeks
Instead of on the ground with you
Maybe with my tears they'll grow
And I'll keep them, as I let you go
That little voice inside of me-
Hope is what I'll call her.

She wants to see the best in things-
I'd wish she'd never bother.
Why bother hoping things turn out fine,
When deep down you know it's all a lie?

I'm sick of seeing the brighter side.
