Words that were not meant to hurt me pierced through me like a million tiny needles filled with Novocain.
It was not really pain at all.
With those words replaying in my mind, over, and over, the circumstances slowly began to sink in. When I finally worked up the will I could not get my fingers to move as I tried to type my reply.

I was numb.

ছায়ার মধ্যে কুহেলিকা

যদিও সে মিলিয়ে যাই ওই আধারে

নদীর বুকে নৌকা
ঢেউ এর বুকে নুড়ি
সে যতই দুরে যাকনা কেন,
সেটা এই পৃথিবীর    

ফিকে পৃথিবীর কাছে চাদ নতজানু
ফুলের বুকে ওই মৌমাছি হারমানে
তুমি ফিরে  আসবে বারবার আমার কাছে,
আত্মসমর্পণ করবে এই ভালোবাসের কাছে

the hurt won't stop in a life unfurled,
the blood will drip like drops of rain
eaten alive by sorrow and pain
you will feast on smiles and greed
but Ill just cut and watch it bleed

You cannot change other people.
Regardless, it's rude to try.

Would you really want that kind of control, anyway?
To castrate the potential of a Mind you do not understand?

Maybe you should free your Mind, instead.

I wish I was a puppet
I'd just take out my stuffing

I wish I was a statue
I'd just carve myself to my liking

I wish I had a disease
one that killed my appetite

I wish I could trade my time
for a different appearance

More than anything I wish I could
cease to care about outer looks.
