Waitng for you.
Swayam Parte Jul 19
Years have passed, seasons have changed,
And change might have greeted you too,
Yet I still stand through the rain and snow,
Waiting, to be loved by you.

You said that you weren't sure,
that you hadn't made up your mind.
These simple words left a mark on my heart,
Yet I pretended to be fine.

You say that you're unsure,
hoping to find someone better than me.
While here I am, spending my nights awake,
thinking of what we could be.

I know I'm not the man you imagined,
not the man from one of your books,
not the man who's strong and protective,
not the man who carries good looks.

Yet trust me when I say,
I'll understand you in every way,
I'll listen to you talk for hours,
And when you need me, I'll be a call away.

I hope you'll accept my love,
that it doesn't take seasons or years.
For I don't wish to be known,
as the man who ran out of tears.

But now I don't care how long it takes,
for you to finally see.
My love, my care, my compassion for you,
For you to finally see me.
I promise, I will wait forever.....

Brown Wood Tree
Swayam Parte Aug 5
On a busy afternoon i sat on the floor,
and i felt someone looking at me.
Through the glass frame peering into room,
Was an old, brown wood tree.

The tree was old, yet rather slim,
And i wondered how it spent it's day.
Was it by feeling the raindrops fall?
Or by watching the children play?

The tree had rusty green leaves,
Dwelling on its branches all along.
When the wind blew and the leaves moved,
They'd whistle it a beautiful song.

The tree was still and i could move,
Yet to me, it felt more alive.
As i could move, still feel stuck.
And it was still, at peace and thrived.

I often envy the brown wood tree,
As it enjoys the sunset of june.
Thinking that, i get up and realize that I'm late,
To continue with my busy afternoon.
Who is at peace?

Mind or Heart?
Swayam Parte Jun 26
My mind called me foolish,
For loving a soul unfamiliar with my name,
But my heart always begged a question,
What if they felt the same?

My heart had memorized
Your grace, like a song,
But my mind would try to convince me,
It's all fiction, and heart is wrong.

Mind would often say,
"They don't know you, and nor do they care."
But heart would deny and argue,
That they're simply unaware.

My mind thinks that it's right,
I do think so too,
But what about the frail little heart,
That just wants to say, "I love you."

In front of me, two paths diverge,
One of my mind & the other of my heart,
One asks me to end it all,
And the other offers a new start.

Now I shall ask myself,
Shall love blind me, or shall I be smart?
Which path do I walk?
mind or heart?
Two paths dvided by choice
