From the depths of my harshly
Used heart I sincerely thank you for
Caring in that unattainable way you did
Knowing just who I wanted to be

You always managed to remind me who I should be with
Obstinancy and
U*ndying fervor that left me behind

Talk all day
Type our fingers sore
Refresh, refresh
We beg for more attention than we get
We share so much that
We know everything about each other
Our thumbs are raw
You can see the bones
I typed you novels
You called my phone
We talk all day
We don't take breaks
So why don't you know
I'm not okay?
Why can't you look me in the eye?
If we talk all day why can't I talk to you in real life?
It’s Saturday night
And you call me a fool
Because I’d rather stay home
I don’t live to play cool

It’s still Saturday night
And you drink as you dance
Your arms wrapped around a body
As if you ever stood a chance

It’s almost Sunday
And everything has changed
You went out to have fun
But a gun is pointed at your face

It’s almost Sunday
And blood has been shed
This was your safe place
Now all you see is red

It’s Sunday morning
And the world isn’t fair
The culprit was a weapon
That shouldn’t have been there

It’s Sunday morning
And I’m calling you instead
But you don’t pick up the phone
Because you’re dead
The US are not a safe place to be right now with these gun laws. If you defend them, I'm sorry, but you're not right. People hate on other people's sexualities in other countries as well but they don't walk into clubs and start shooting them, why? Because they don't have guns. Sure, it's the thought that kills and not the weapon, but it's much harder to ****** people without one. The day before this, some random guy shot a singer in the head 3 times after her concert. Today another guy was caught with weapons as he was driving or something to the LA Pride Festival. This is not right. These people should not be allowed to carry weapons. My condolences to the families of the victims from the mass shooting in Orlando. I once wanted to live in the US, I'm not sure about this anymore.

gray rain
the acts of one can **** another
one man and a gun killed someones brother,
someones sister, someones lover

one bullet leaves them dead
the blood they bled
left the ground stained red

they will be remembered for what another had done
by the actions of only one
with the power of a gun
The US need tighter gun laws so cowardly people can not **** people for being themselves. It's sad to see so many people be lost in such a tragic way. Two shootings and one attempted shooting in two days should not be acceptable.

The rain hammers on the whistlepigs outside
like an organic xylophone
they fiddle with bits of grass in the dark

It's night and the chorus frogs
back it all up,
the humming of the refridgerator
the whistlepigs
the water in the pipes,
the rain.

I've been in this cabin in the woods
**** near a month already
and the incessant buzz of electricity trying hopelessly
to ground through the faulty wiring
in ten million appliances
still cannot be escaped.

Better to be a whistlepig
living beneath the floorboards in the damp
than a mouse in the walls-

but I guess I've never
been either.
Flowers die
and I try not to let myself
get attached
to beautiful things
that won't last

but once I hold
the flowers
you give me

I turn into
a walking question mark

asking myself
why
I ever resisted
the beautiful
transient
happiness

disguised as
a dying
plant
