Our task in class
was
to draw really
depressed people
for a competition
...
I wanted to draw
a really
really
sad
child
...
Chubby
drooping cheeks
Soft
flawless skin

She said no
...
...
...
Instead,
I get to draw
an old person
...
which is fine
But,
...
the WRINKLES
HOW am I to draw
perfectly
EVERY SINGLE
LITTLE
WRINKLE?!
And especially
a value scale
of shading
as well
while
ACCOUNTING
FOR EVERY WRINKLE?!
...
See,
the issue
isn't that
I am unwilling to draw
BUT
But
...
I, consider myself
at big picture person
NOT as much detail oriented

I, consider myself
someone
who relies
at least half
if not more on
creativity
NOT to say
that I lack
technical skill

BUT,
my strong suit
would be
the idea

Now,
she's challenging me
by giving me a simple idea
And having the key portion
be the
execution
...
According to my mom
it's a good thing
...
...
And I agree too,
but...
...
Ugh,
I suppose I'd better go draw

I.   I often look at your beautiful face, but that isn't why I love you.

you are looking in the mirror forty years from now,
and you have long surrendered to time,
your beauty will betray you,
it will betray us,
this you already know,
the heavens and hells tug at your flesh
slowly carving wrinkles
at the pillars of your youth.

II. The Ocean Blue

For on the surface they swim, and on the surface you look
but few so ever dive where a madman would go
to the dark chilly solitary crevices,
of where true beauty lies,
that is where I found you,
in the deep darkness
that is where I saw you,
alone, so beautiful, pristine,
cold in the dark.
we were utterly surprised
on seeing her face
there wasn't a wrinkle present
on its surface space

yet only six months ago
her dial was looking quite the age
it is possible that a plastic surgeon
had refreshed her crumpled page

the cosmetic enhancements
did work a treat
everything about her visage
was pressed exceptionally neat

now she's a woman
of a most desirable profile
that will make men
spiritedly wink and smile

If my watch breaks
Then I will show you the wrinkles
On my heart
So you know how long
I've been waiting for your love
waiting....

Seeping sadness
eating me alive
while I sit here aimlessly
breathing
to the buzzing of the stove.
Wingless appetite
of a girl
who brainlessly bargains
as her soft
little soul
drifts away.
She heartlessly mutters
of love
she doesn’t feel.

All that she feels is steam
puffing past her face
as she slowly
wears
her wrinkles
day after day.
To those who've felt aimlessly waiting for life to carry on, as the days carry on.

When gazing upon her reflection
She doesn’t see wisdom in grey hairs
Or find memories in smile lines
She sees bags and wrinkles
Pain and stress
Tears roll over the hills and valleys
On her aging cheeks
Oh how I wish she could see
There is simple beauty in living
A long and happy life

In lines of age
we find a trace
of history,

weathered responses
that come to haunt us
as we are weighed down
by all the gravity
that we have found
in this life,

creases of flesh
molded to express
all of time’s
presence.

We earn each line
with perseverance
resisting death’s
determination.

Until, the end
when death finally
takes its revenge
and wins.

Bets placed
eternity takes
all the wrinkles
on our face,
and turns them to rot
and decay.

Time flies like bullet everyday
Scrapping youthfulness as she speeds away
transforming and changing the way we look
Time has no special handbook
Telling us how to behave and live
Time takes away many opportunities
Yet valued as one of life's most precious commodities
It's like saying we don't deserve it
Yet real time cannot be dealt with
So call her the silent unseen enemy
Because She heads the aging army.

Time can chose to be both slow and yet aggressive
But to others she can become vile and abrasive
Especially when she claws evilly away at beauty
Leaving her sad ,all alone and empty..
And Wrinkled, useless and quite old ,
Left only with sad stories to be told
They say time waits on no man
So you have no time even if you can
It's so sad that time tells stories we don't believe
Time was here, Time is packed , ready to leave .
Time is a perpetual arrow that heads the aging army .

I’ll keep on loving you
Long after you start to
Look like your mother
Though she looks much
Too much like her brother.
I’ll keep on laughing at
The groaner puns you make
And eating the cakes
That taste like meatloaf
From Blavian yak ****
Because that is what,
To me, true love is.

It doesn’t take a wiz kid
To see what nature did
And I am sure I will be
A cartoon version of me
When I get to that stage
Where age has altered us
To having rear-ends like a bus
And skin like the spin cycle
Before the dryer gets there.
We’ll have hair like lint
To match the laundry bent
Of the last four lines.

And I know I won’t mind
Because it’s you I adore
And that is what love is for
To help us ignore the stuff
Like belly button fluff
And farting unashamedly
Even though we are blamedly
Guilty as recharged, stinking.
I am guilty of thinking
Things will continue to get worse
Until the nurse considers ******
When nobody heard her.

Let heavens be blanket for that old body
who work everyday in the rainy and hot day
wrinkles on your face characterizes your struggles
sweat is proof of hard work
twilight greets you so fast
countless a lot of time that has traveled in this cruel world
time is never wait and back
only to turn you to be young again
its impossible
but your story will be immortal
in the heart that feels
in hearts of your children
