Somehow, It's exhausting to live in this world with some kind of a code of how to become a likable person.
Where in you should behave in accordance of what the society dictates you to be like,

so they won't ridicule you,

forced to follow the rules to survive or blend,

pretend to be someone likeable,

make friends,

go to work,

bathe everyday,

follow the trend,

build high defensive walls

and  basically just do what the others do to avoid being labelled as

******,

Crazy,

madmen

insane.

Sometimes, I just want to be crazy..

So I could have an excuse not to follow rules

do whatever I like,

say whatever I want

and just be ME.
Got inspired from the book of Paolo Coelho "Veronika Decided to Die" Circa (Jan 14, 2017)

Every time I see her
My heart breaks beautifully,
Like an egg hatching fluorescent colors
In an achromatic world,
And bleeds desperate hopefulness
That never evaporates
Because the air is saturated with wondrous destiny
That causes hope to thrive.

Sweet symbiosis.

As premonitions explode inside my chest,
Shooting stars travel down my legs
Because I've seen her again

In a tale told by an alchemist.
This is a reaction to a movie that I recently saw called "Veronika Decides to Die," which is an adaptation of a book of the same title by Paulo Coelho. I've only seen it once but it has become embedded inside me. The film was extremely powerful and moving.

~for Joanne Louise Veronika~

patches of light, snatches of sleep,
cumulative tallies of every 24 hour arrhythmia,
detect heart alarms ringing, watch warnings screeching beeping

who cares!

new commitment, self imposed!

greet the early ones with sooth and java,
a combination, “all across the nation,”
ease them in from sleeply lyrical dreams,
to a clear sky, renew anew, bay waters
running new tide fast, tiny tendrils of water points,
etch-a-sketch paths to a calm souls restoration

the smoke haze bad dream departed,
sun rays warmth for the invisible innards,
waves look like the EKG of human at peace,
resting heart rate steady and rhythmically sweet

and I laugh at myself, preposterous!
this is my secret path to restoration,
please laugh at me, join the raucous joy
of not-taking-yourself too seriously,
meaning of a new light, fresh waters,
of an old friend, the same diurnal perspective,
a new alphabet that spells but a singular duality,
a two-word~poem of
meditative perfection:

calm sheltering

Don't complain, don't gloat, just go and grow

-As spoken from the aged and wizened Veronika Sorrow
She is a friend of mine and an amazing singer
James Vasenco Jul 2020
Veronica Harmonica Wipe My *** Clean
Was the prettiest princess, the kingdom had seen

She had wealth and a fortune; glamour and fame
But the one thing she lacked, was a beautiful name

Now, Veronika knew, that she'd gotten off lightly
Compared to her brother, Wet The Bed Nightly

Her sister, ***** Burp, really liked her name
Her cousin, Toilet Thunder, exactly the same

It keeps us all ground, stop being a brat
But Wipe My *** Clean, couldn't leave it at that

So she requested a meeting, with Father, the King
And jotted a poem, to make her claim sing

The trumpets wailed, as her name was announced
I know who she is, from the throne, came a shout
To everyone else, he was King Dinkle ***** (the third)
But to his little girl, he was simply Daddy

I love you Daddy, she said with a twirl
These dresses, this lifestyle, I'm the luckiest girl
You've captured me oceans, chocolates, and pearls
The Sultan with swing, the king of the world!

But I have to confess, that some nights I cry
She's could tell it was working, by the look in his eye
It's my name you see, this title, this moniker
Please daddy let me drop the name Veronika

The King was astounded, sat still for sometime
Before screaming out, But then it won't RHYME!
A story for bedtime
