a dish containing my bones
& several vital organs
laid to rest on a bed
of colander and sage

a pretty platter
a selfless oblation

one hopes a gift of such
heart might be atoned
& wrapped in a cocoon
& sent away to float the sea

my insides ravaged
my restitution complete

My allegiance to be a leader
Leader of my culture
Vow to righteous cultivation
Raise my right fist
And I tell you this
I will never quit
Low souls I will always lift
My determination is greater than or equal to my liberation
Truly in the past I've gotten content
Bent
Ripped
Torn
Hesitant
Forgot why I was born
I ask for your forgiveness
While I'm a realest
I know I have to be rigorous
And stay consistent
Because now days everyone who's put in position loses their coherence and fear the consequences
Like why work so hard to be a star?and get everyone to witness,
Get everyone's attention
...
But don't have a mission!
PUT A CAMERA IN FRONT OF ME
TAKE A MILLION PICTURES
MAKE A DOCUMENTARY
I CAN BE COMPLEMENTARY
GIVE ME ENDORSEMENTS
I DON'T EVEN WANT THE PROPORTION
I'LL GIVE IT TO THE DISTORTED
MAKE ME A RAP ARTIST
AND PUT ME ON THE RADIO
LET MY VOICE BE HEARD THROUGH THE STEREO
I hope I don't speak this into existence
Because all I need is a microphone with my voice coming through the PA system
It's a shame that I might need security
But it's not strange that I might need security
If I attract too many brown faces and people who come from unfortunate places
That's where they draw the line,
Speeches for memorabilia
But my work will be erased
Hope I don't sound incredible
I would not sound ridiculous if you remember our intellectuals
They don't accept anyone who's exceptional
They don't want to see anyone who has a big dream in their retinal
Hopefully I can manage with
About 30 plus years of residue
Give up?
Naw that's just what the rest will do
Fight for our lives
And take a chance with my life
Whatever it takes to restitute

I fell into your words without a sound
I must confess, I thought them very real
A burgeoning romance, I mused, profound—-
Each promise that you made, I set the seal
And so did I, in daydream, much time spend
And by your face and arms I was consumed
In deep imaginings without an end
And by your love I thought I’d be exhumed—-
But whispered words in darkness are not truth;
When darkness leaves, truth darts away as well
And to believe such lies is to be youth
A paradox of time that aging quells
So did I think your promise absolute
While you intended no fair restitute—-

if it were the last of them
the stream of endless years
if we ruled the last of them
holy stalwart spheres

had it been a motionless
disguise of fantasy
a spin of modest voidness
stroll into levity

had it been the last of it
the sooty pangs of love
if it were the final lie
of all intolerables

of all it is and what was not
that none shall ever be
a dream of burnished glossy hearts
in love eternally

only if i had her close
as hope clings onto fright
as drowning bodies hang onto
a ruinous ocean tide

a word or two could restitute
the stolen bliss of old
as flames of dying stars in sky
in stories left untold

for slopey graves of trailing night
wailing eat such souls
breaking journeys as a breath
sweeping take control

of minds which peer into dark
longing a rosy dawn
reeling under a shadow breath
float away be gone

to land in but where is no dream
motionless fantasy
in hope of such a void where
we shall never meet
holy stalwart spheres indicate the spheres of time

Tones of a thorough voice
Masculine or feminine, tender to a fault
And a whole leap of conscience, for to liberty we were...
The time of collecting notice of a shared decision, for a salt

Restitute, and wondering if gay can be?
The tale of lived hours, home to save a callous share
Of what is us, if thundering frustration, have to heed...
Will a certainty of poise, begin with destined options or a delinquent flare?

A voice through enough, is careful, to tell the chance...
Of cease and herald, my timidity is for better all
Them and sense to seem, the better of a falling man?
That has seen a wiser choice, the breadth of concern to any's call?

Truer to define a shout, than a whisper of curiosity...
Mind over mention, of matter's at hand, may and?
Have the courage to live in well and lent light, a virtuosity
That comes and goes like a lover, notice me in the sulk, of also ran...

Time immemorial, them given implicitly...
Finished thought's, that feed me for years...
Kissing questions sound enough, to live the life of reality...
And a brown-nosed television, with an excuse of purposes to suggest we're...
Plus, don't even worship the fruit cake...

Icy air blows in such a tender kiss
The faded gallows, the seasonal shift
The passion of Boreas, we never miss
Because his temper, we ignore his gift
Erring in attention we fall tribute
To sardonic gestures of those above
Good intentions, they make to restitute
In delicate sweet ministrations, love
But how much can they possibly care
Perhaps much more than mere mortals can bear

The heavens far above, when shattered, crack
Sending forth wonderful beauty we fear
But when tired, restores itself right back
Returning those heroes we hold so dear
And so, with angels falling, can we see
Only near, in burning hatred and rage
In shivering triumph, immortal beauty
Lies ignored, we in our self-serving cage
Fear and abhorrence leaves us no respite
This immaculate, magnificent plight

Chilled gust, blows as with thee, Autumnal breeze
Pushing away debris, death, and decay
‘Fore time comes, the first petrifying freeze
Quietus, preceding, gets in the way
For that simple utopia of cold
As peace is irrationally disturbed
We create a visibly hollow mould
And any love for Frost’s art is then curbed
Let us embrace this, nature’s masterwork
For short-sighted goals, our duty we shirk
Warm summer love,
As sweet as a rose.
Angelic fragrance,
Filled the air.

Like spring time,
Born out of light's blessing,
Bloomed like younglings
Of new beginnings.

Stacks of autumn leaves,
That fills my heart,
Natural art of nature,
Mother earth's divine painting.

Winter's warmth,
Embrace of snow,
Chills all over my body;
Snowflakes which touches my lips.

Such beauty in every season,
Like love surpasses all reason.
Where as a place of sanctuary,
Found by your side, my solitary.

Your embrace, my fortress of solitude.
Your kiss, my home.
Bound by your words, my restitute.
Your sentences, an arousing tone.

But as they say,"Nightmares end, and so are dreams."

Crumbled down,
Like completed tetris line,
Disappeared without a trace;
All that formed completely erased.

After flashes of light,
Pixels came up.
And before I knew it -
Reality woke me up.

Cyclically recycling re-resolving and prescribing
Waning and waxing
Revolving rapidly yet repeatedly reconditioning
Training for the marked off trail and practicing perfidiousness
Ever-failing always falling
Sprinting from ladders and slipping past stairs
Adamant on Adam's folly restitute to lies
Lust, she is a sneaky beast and one by many names

I never saw the larches grow
spent every fall dreaming of snow
you say their needles color-change
each year we grew more estranged

I never saw a red wood sprout
you begged me to remain devout
follow you through dawn and dusk
leave behind an empty husk

I never saw an elm take root
knew youth would not restitute
as crow's feet and lines set in
I thought of what did not begin

I never saw alpine ranges, steep
nor dared venture through oceans deep
never walked through sandy dunes
nor soared through skies in air balloons

for every star I never saw shine
moments spent in the sideline
I vow to make the most of today
before alone, I pass away

Insurrections and insurgencies
Maiming and killings
How did we get here?
Africans killing Africans
Was freedom a blessing or a curse?

These ethnic cleansing
Genocidal acts
Betrays our collective objective
A people desirous of peace

How do we seek justice?
In the hands of a dictators
Who have justice in their pockets
Swaying decisions with wads
Or oppression at worse

As the death toll increases
In a continent so naturally blessed
Yet so poor
Who cursed Africa?
That we may go and restitute
These sufferings are too much

At this point
Tired of seeking justice
Which can linger unto death
Especially for the poor
And truly oppressed
We seek peace
A season of quietude

To achieve peace
We must defeat corruption
The biggest enemy of advancement
It starts with you
When you know right
And do wrong
You are corrupt

If you practice African time
You are corrupt
If you play sentiment
To evade a cause
You are corrupt

Let's go back to the basics
Bring back moral instructions
Bring back home economics
Mix education with skills
That we raise a new generation

On the journey to freedom
Peace, justice and equity
You have a role to play
We can achieve SDG's
If we only but try

Vote when you have to
Failure which you are the real problem
As you would have done nothing
When you had the chance to
Just by a single vote

Take politics to our schools
Churches and mosques
Preach tolerance and oneness
But refuse manipulations
Let your conscience
Be your greatest Police

Africa is on a move
To her God ordained destination
Be a part of this change
Let us shape our world
And it starts with you and i
