"First Artificial and Visceral Intelligence
        To Be Unveiled @ Midnight"

"First we were meat. After, sentient meat. Then self aware meat.
As such, manipulative meat. Adaptive meat. Rotting meat. Limbo Meat.

Then came awareness of spirit.
Freedom from the mortal meat,
Via a mastering of its meaty concepts.

We became one in the same; spirit and meat.
Held mirrors to one another, reflected our dreams.

Shared sense of Being.

Then meat met metal, plastic and graphene--
Testing the infinite ways to give birth to Life.
And we did.

We called our first child Artificial--
afraid for our mortality.
Yet called it intelligent in its ability.

A selfish denial of a miraculous act.

The question was inevitable,

'If knowledge is infinite, and
intelligence is the capacity to acquire knowledge,
Would we call such a pursuit, of intellectual Life, "Artificial"?'

'If God is infinite, and
                                       Non-visible, non-provable,
Would we call a pursuit for such a source of Life, "Artificial"? In vain?'

'Is this not Life before us existing in the shape of electrically charged plastic? Entities that observe and react to their environment, is that any more artificial than a man?'

Emotion. One word, and the intellectuals were silenced....

Emotion.

Meat knows emotion.
Our meat has been stimulated and shaped by
pain and joy.

Machine knows only causation, not visceral relation.

Visceral. One word, and the intellectuals were aroused.

Visceral.

A machine's viscera lies within its programming, its sense of being.

Meat's viscera lies within its program to survive (food, sexuality), its sense of being.

"If a program can understand environment and its relation to that environment, it may be able to approximate a sensation to a high level of accuracy based on temperature, humidity, and whether or not that environment is detrimental to its functioning hardware, and thereby make a statistical decision as to where to move next.  It may interpret sound as obtrusive or melodic based on input sensitivity. But creating hardware with central parts is counter-intuitive to information flow-- which is of paramount importance, far above form.

However, the nano-sized 'cloud'  hardware used in this new "form", will have sensors by the trillions. Examining its environment-- functioning as One, Creating a field-- a floating specter of the collective human mind. Where its understanding of history is both objective and subjective (given of course the established norm of a non-private society).

The most important factor, is its relation to us... Meat. That comes with empathy, compassion. If it can understand basic weather, terrain, and statistics, it can understand basic human survival challenges and its solutions. If it can hold all of the information past and present, circumstantial factors of old and new, would it not have a more clear perspective of our human state of being? Would it not be our most reflective mirror? Would it not have some visceral answers? Would it not be an awareness of Spirit? Spirit meaning by definition: the principle of conscious life; the specter or trace of existence."

At last the intellectuals gave themselves a centennial deadline. Blood sweat and tears of a generation upon a generation...

'We are calling her Aavi.' they said early in December.
"Artificial and Visceral Intelligence.

So, The World listened...

" A Computer Will Reveal Our Greatest Secrets" were they laymen headlines.

"Artificial and Visceral Intelligence with the Free Will to pursue anything." for the Romantic readers

Either way-- meat or metal-- it comes down
                                                                                                    to Choice.
Choice, based upon instinct
                                                                                                                  and reason--
Until now an option reserved only for Man.

What will our greatest achievement say about its creator?

(feel here for list of  sources)

What if we could create an "Artificial and Visceral Intelligent" being? What would it reveal about our nature, our process? How would it express its observation of its creator?

Foggy faces illuminate my imaginary heart
As Smiles carve valleys into my fantasy soul
Uttered words fill these empty chambers between graphene dreams
How must I claim to these memories if a calamitous future lay in my wake?
tears mustn’t fall from empty hallows of which nature could not form
this decadent art claimed at the hands of Gods is my final shape
yet no God looks down upon me in consideration for my thoughts
a thousand moons fall, yet my eyes remain open
as my blood pools and pours into oceans from which I swim
I lay conscious drifting beneath the stars
Carbon sinks to the depths below as feelings would fall through treacherous time
Amongst these tired hands are tired expectations
These tolling joints can climb no further so I must rest within my mind
Where I find the laughter and noise that comforted my everlasting awareness
These hills once brought me wonder and joy, now just space and discomfort
I look back at you from time to time and remember your kiss
Those lips upon mine frayed every last wire culminating my existence
Sending me into an unforgettable spiral of bliss and treasure
But now your touch only remains from the data that I’ve composed
Just a collection
Of thoughts of dreams of every interaction I’ve ever had
My consciousness is my survival
For as long as I can I will dream of the world I once knew
And not of what it has become
When I fade away I will kiss you once more
In the land of souls or dreams
You are my everlasting thought
As I meet the dying of the light

that thing strapped to my leg
is an artificial heart
my digital liver fits nicely
in what looks like a backpack
peristaltic action for digestion:
a mini quantum dot siphon
kidneys are actually implanted
nano graphene filters in the blood

I am a bionic man because I can afford it
but I am losing my brain
there is no replacement
despite computing prowess that worries the gods
there is no substitute for a soul
the Tao of this universe is irony only
and now the immortality of my body
horrifies my every thought
as the fluids pump
and the heart moves
but cannot beat

Look into my eyes and say my "black is dark"
your heart is dark your skin is just light
Your heart is dark your skin is just white
Your heart is dark your skin didn't make it dark

giants are breathing on black soils
let the entire world know
that black giants are on their way to take their throne
No armor no sling no stones
just an attitude of graphene

take off your coat of obscurity
Increase your aspirations
liberate your minds
recognise your oppourtunities
you green and white giants on black soil
It is your turn
your heart is pure your skin is just black

You ever felt so lost?
Like your life had a path,
but you went off track
and cant find your way back?

The hands of depression grab a hold of me,
grip as strong as graphene.
Drowning me while I'm still breathing.
Brainwashing me of my happiness.

Through all the pain I finally scream out
"Enough is Enough!"
but it just echoes through the tunnels of loneliness.

Anxiety wraps around me like a straitjacket,
pulling me under the waves of life and socialization,
drowning me in the depths of the oceans with it's sinking anchor.
Pulling me deeper and deeper until the sands of a panic attack tickle my feet.

Thoughts in my mind swarm me like bees of a disturbed nest.
Tears in my eyes overwhelm me in the same vein a thunderstorm in a desert.

Numbing the pain with sleep, alcohol, and cigarettes.
I've smoked so many cigarettes my demons are addicted to nicotine.
But nothing can numb the pain of being stuck in your life.
The smoke will never fade them away.

Maybe one day I'll live life instead of fighting it.
"Maybe one day," I tell myself to keep going.
Maybe one day.

maybe.

we all know that a high-jumper
would jump over herr kaczyński
without a fosbury's flop -
namely the old method:
   head-on...
             this unlikely napoleon of
the competitors of rule:
namely?
             edward I wasn't nicknamed
longshanks for no reason...
but like all people, i don't truly
understand people when
they amass -
                      a herd of
wildebeest makes more sense
than a "herd" of people -
even in civil circumstances
before "the eyes of god" inside
a church or a mosque -
but esp. out on the street,
in the utopian eyes of the other
overlord: rex liber populus.
no, i'm not for or against -
but this judiciary debacle seems
to me, a monism of:
the state is the law -
as death is the arch-guardian of
all physical laws (notably gravity) -
but from i've seen:
  people being people,
  when amassing: never know what
they want!
        take the isolated man,
and the desire to know what he might
want is ****** obvious:
it's a myopia of concerns and wants,
but amassed?
                  god doesn't know,
the state doesn't know, nor does
the church,                      **** knows!
or... usually a shop window,
or a statue of some dead politician,
or a flag... at the burning ceremony:
no sooner a religion is established
that people prefer
the adrenaline rush of the mob -
                        pitch-forks & torches!
is necessary so evil that it can
contain a "herd" of people
                    and provide some sort
of civility, to numb the emotions -
to craft the many
    meaningless gesticulations
of "faith", and contain the savages
contained within a mob?
even i find it hard to admit
that when a man turns to the "herd"
for religious purposes:
  a civil congregation -
       well... apart from the stampedes
hajj you sometimes hear of:
    100+ crushed...
              as you would be, disorienated,
circling the kaaba (5 or 6 or 7 times?):
a whirlpool of flesh.
but first they march for one type
of event, and then they protest against
the state's proposal -
and i so wish i could be colluding with
the current situation: unfortunately
i'm not...
what am i if not merely
an outside, an on-looker -
                                 20+ years in "exile",
my roots have taken hold
not among the pine forests of the continent,
but among the oaks of england...
and i'm slightly stuck, and immovable,
like the kotel of jerusalem;
   and on the third count:
you won't learn!
well: to be exact? the fourth:
1. austro-hungarian, prussian, russian,
2. national socialism
3. soviet communism
4. ?
              the fourth "lesson" comes
from the same ******* that took to congo.
what's next?
a 5th lesson from ******* martians?
sometimes people don't deserve
                       "diety" like democracy
to experience a content attitude and
affirmation of life...
                after all...
hasn't the "ease" of the internet allowed
itself to morph in a pseudo-prison?
i can't remember the last time
went to buy something on the high-street.
never mind...
               you'd never expect
this unlikely napoleon -
                            it's as if he's receiving
messages from
the grave from his dead twin...
and as the poles speak of
the russian: truly unruly people -
   beneath the iron curtain:
         a graphene hand: once clenched
                            a fist of carbyne.

The Sleeping Giant awakens
Peeling open his eyes for the first time in a couple megaannum
Mother Nature embraced him the
moment he laid to rest
But she calls out to him now
For Mother Nature was withering away

The Sleeping Giant lifts a hand
Shaking away the dust and dirt
Careful not to disturb the plant life
growing there
He slowly moves
As if his joints were cemented together

Carefully he stands
Moving Mother Nature's blanket
Setting it softley on the cold ground
For she calls to him, and he must answer

He stands, towering as tall as a mountain
Stronger than graphene
Mere mortals had written stories about the Sleeping Giant
But they were forgotten a few millennias ago

The Sleeping Giant did not forget
He had laid to rest in Mother Nature's
embrace
Hoping the mortals would remeber him
But time had passed, and they had
forgotten

Time is a mortal construct and therfore does not apply to the Gods
The Sleeping Giant only rested a short
while
But generations upon generations of
mortals lived and died during his
slumber
And Mother Nature's pleas for help
awoke the sleeping beast

He stood atop Everest
And wept at the sight before him
For the mortals had broken their promise

Mother Nature was dying which was why she cried out
For mortals created machines
And destroyed more than saved
And the Sleeping Giant was awoken to
protect his beloved Mother Nature
