"accomodating" poems
I am
no longer
a portrait,
I am
a collage;
I am
water,
the sky
colours me
Blue,
a pinch
of vermillion
makes me
blush Red;
I am
a mimic,
a schizophrenic
accomodating
one too many
minds
in an
overwrought head.

*Nature is the greatest teacher
Crooked trees in the forest
Standing tall, exibiting peace
Indicating individuality of beings
Teaching we can take imperfections with ease
Lucidity of water
Absorbing all colours, flowing free
Indicating true nature of mind
Teaching we can severe from conventions unkind
Air all around us
Remaining oblivious, fueling life
Indicating selfless presence
Teaching we can become generous saviours
Solidity of earth
Accomodating all, feeding life
Indicating endurance
Teaching we can be helpful with no expected return
Vastness of sky
Spanning across space, inspiring heights
Indicating grandeur
Teaching we can stand tall with big hearts
Agression of fire
Igniting dynamism, demonstrating hold
Indicating fearlessness
Teaching we can be creative yet bold
Steadiness of mountain
Defying age, exuding independance
Indicating determination
Teaching emancipation
Freshness of rain
Falling free, spreading coolness
Indicating calmness
Teaching we can be soothing to cold hearts
Shine of sun
Spreading warmth, sharing energy
Indicating synergy
Teaching we can be light to someone
Shimmer of moon
Soothing darkness, glowing in phases
Indicating change in times
Teaching flexibility as time changes
Glitter of stars
Decorating skies, falling in while
Indicating transient fame
Teaching we all fade out with time
And so on................
We must understand
We cannt live without nature
Nature can standalone quite
We need to learn from it
Wear its qualities and requite
Alas! We invariably live againt it*

We were star-crossed lovers
With stars completely faded
Upon the pellucid canvas
From hearts barricaded.
We were crossed lovers
Anger emanated from our soul
Clouded coils created catastrophe
preventing us to be complete wholes.
We were lovers
Pain and misplaced anger dissipated
by trust and words exchanged
Accomodating the memories created.
We loved.
Loved like a love created above the skies
Stronger than any weightlifting olympiad
We shared a loving bond unbreakable by lies.
We love,
The way a bee loves collecting honey
With love coursing through our veins
We love, like the sun loves being called sunny.

at this time of night
a question of wine
knows the answer
despite no enquiry
the show must go on
accomodating misunderstandings
improvised proceedings
when your glass gets to
low tide and having eyed
half a bottle still waiting
just one more
change of channel
to an athlete changing essence
visiting a vineyard to
taste other flavours

I felt your presence
Your silent footsteps
Still I heard
You seemed uncertain
Not sure if it was okay
My back somehow turned anxious
I don't know if you felt it
I stayed the way I was
Not turning my head
I waited
And you stepped sideways
Away from me
For a while
As if gauging
If I would be accomodating
You saw me flip a hair
Talk back to someone else
Not caring one bit
If you were there
Now you started to walk
Rounding a pillar
Straight to my line of vision
You made your presence known
I looked at you
Casually speaking your name
You looked at me
In the eye
Did you see something?
Was there a telltale sign
That I was anxious as you
Like we were in a fight
And now contemplating reconcillation
Laughing inside
Yeah..we were fools
Engaging in silent war
Ignore..reject..
As if testing who will hold
Power between us
I smirk...
I knew it
You would not be able to hold on
You will succumb
I am your temptation
Someone you could not easily dismiss
However you wanted
In the end
Triumphantly
I won.
This game of me and you
I wonder when will this end?
