Earthen Heart
Running in the forest
Over rocks, through streams;
Not much more here for us,
At least it seems.
Wanna grow wings,
Learn how to fly,
Listen to the Spirit who sings,
Kiss the clouds in the sky.
If the world ends tonight,
I want to die intertwined
With you in my sight,
Nothing on my mind
Except your heart against mine.

Fallen stars on parched land...

Brought with them a piece of heaven...

The child in me ran to collect... in fragile hands...

To hang them in tender threads from the window...

So as to light up my heart upon a dark day!
Sometimes a sweet memory of the past is all you need to brighten up your dark day!

South City Lady
Sitting in the faculty lot
thinking how I'm as nervous
as my students
for our first day of class
going virtual, live every day
with all the lack of control
and all that could go wrong
(and it will)

I sit here
staring out
into the darkness
an impending storm threatens
as thunder urges me to drive
and fat rain splatters my windshield

but then, I begin to smile
because another storm will hit
and tomorrow will be fraught
with incredible mistakes
all except for one
important
piece

THEY WILL be back in my classes
and, oh, how I've missed them
like a mother
of too many children

I can't wait to hear their laughter
to form connections with each class

I can't wait for school to begin again
Here's to a new year
one that will forever change
the lives of teachers everywhere
and so, we push forward

Lazy clouds drift by
White billows in azure sea
Pregnant with raindrops

Ashly Kocher
A moment alone
Gathering my thoughts
Feet in the sand
Ocean waves crashing
Dolphins jumping in the distance
Sun rising
Wind blowing ever so slightly
In the midst of my own dreams
As I close my eyes and drift to my happy place....

Moonlight
It is my dream to soar high into the air, just like a bird free to fly,
I want to flap my wings, begin my journey to new heights,
Glide through the snowy white clouds and reach the sapphire sky,
Where, neither gravity nor gloominess can hold me down.

Yes, some dreams are unfathomable
But hey, dreams do show what we want
Believe in your dreams and aim the sky,
You will get wings of your own.
Shed the fear and feel free to fly.
To dream is to dare,
It may seem impossible but atleast try.
Some people seem to think that love is just for play
an eccentric emotion that ignites the senses for a while
so when it gets too complicated or think it out of style
they thrash the heart as if it were an ***** made of clay
While some believe it can't outlast euphoria of lust
others choose a paring knife aggressing it with carves
Setting small fires round town they love to play
over hot irons of passion, while love slowly starves;
Some people are given a fine bow and a good violin
from the start, others look from the sideline but never go in;
I for one would trade my last piece of bread for love,
if treated right by one and other it becomes a turtle dove;

Some people seem to think that love is just for play,
I for one would give away my heart for ONE, Devotional allay.
