If Only
I could see beyond
my egos stupid chatter.
Inspired by Eric W Thanks
When you're a half of a whole
Composer comes and goes
Tempers stand in the way
Then beneath the layers
of unshed pains
together you face today

Each step, a mirrored dance
Each breath, a fighting chance
Laced with another
Tied together

It can be suffocating
Your every thought invaded
By the considerations of another

Days that bring rain
Weigh down heavy on love
When it's forgot

When you choose to be one half
You take the good and the bad
You will never be one soul again
And your comforted by only him

While he frustrates
While he yells and berates
He koves you and you see it on his face

When you're a half of a whole
Your life is not your own
It is a gift given
And you share it
Willing
Thoughts about relationships

My mind is stuck in a place
Of quiet contemplation
And my face is set
In stone

No one notices the racing thoughts
Going through my mind
Only I am aware
Of every movement my brain does
With out me realizing it

Such quiet, and change of perspective
Helps me realize the fascinating things
That others may or may not see
In the world that we claim we are so
Involved with

This is a place of no judgement
A place where thoughts run free
No anger, no fear, no sadness
Just quiet contemplation
I wish Americans spoke Greek.
Did you know that there is more
Than one word for
Love, in the Greek language?
Agape. Eros. Storge.
And Philia.

Agape.
Unconditional love.
UNCONDITIONAL. Love.
I cannot even
Comprehend. How much
Love that is.
Unlimited. Unrestricted.
Unconditional.
That's how all love should be.

Eros.
Passionate love.
Sensual, emotional,
Romantic love.
The physical side...
Of love.
Intense, this kinda love
Needs a while to come out.
Don't rush.

Storge.
Love as affection.
Parents love their children,
Wives love their husbands.
Acceptance into a
Special place in someone's heart.
Familial bonds. Caring love.

And Philia.
Loyalty to others,
Mental love.
This is the love between friends.
The love of objects,
And places, etc.
Not unconditional,
Not passionate,
Not affectionate. But just,
Love.

Our one word,
Love, is broken into
Four words.
I want to be Greek,
I want people to know what
Kinda of love I mean,
When I say,
"I love you."
To people.
How do I tell a lily
it is perfect where it lives
and to pluck it from its birthright
would wither what it gives.

How do I tell a mirror
its worth is what it shows
the truth it holds is infinite
its depth nobody knows

How do I tell a mountain
Where it might begin
A determined defiant monalith
its strength is deep within

How do I show a sunset
The colors we all see
giving happiness to the mighty sky
and the relentless iron sea

How do I tell a butterfly
its beauty is not its wings
but in the natural way it always has
brought life to many things
Perspective is sometimes the only medicine. Honestly I wrote this about a specific person, someone who beings the life out of poeple.
