Like as raindrops plummet from yonder shore,
So hastily dashed him at love's behest,
Swifter than a hunted wild roving Deer,
With impatience like a raging tempest;
And by the most lustrous yet rare plectrum,
Heavenly tunes at his heart strings didst pluck,
That he beamed with colors of the spectrum,
Brighter than golden specks of the zodiac;
For her honeycomb, the taste of nectar
Distilled from all the flowers of heaven;
Hence swooned as the sea over light of star,
For love had casted her novelty boon.
"O what on earth so joyous than one's face
Whilst in arms of a lover's warm embrace?"

I wish you were the night
And I were the day,
To ever dim my light
And fade into timeless beauty.

Yet,

I wish you were the day
And I were the night
To ever roll down and stray
Into the warmth of thy light.

#To she who shall never read it.
After years of aimless wanderings
Leaving behind the cities of midnight revels
And the fevered journey in metro rails,
I am back at the land of my people.

Wherever I went,
Under which ever roof I slept,
I had carried my land,
As a jewel in a casket
And ensured it rested safe
Ever under my pillow

As I moved with aliens
Unable to merge with their cultural mores,
I saw my land glimmer in darkness
Like a dew drop on a moon blanched leaf

When I sweated in the blistering sands
A patch of green landscape, like an oasis
Wafted me in a cool embrace
Then dreams poured in like star light
And I wandered in the meadows of my youthful love
My heart struggling to forget old longings
And memories lashing upon me like tidal waves

Pursued by that inalienable shadow
Suddenly being born in flesh and blood
I hastened to the streets of my youth
With hopes galore and plans vivid

But alas! There is none to recognize me
Oh! I am a stranger here
An unwelcome stranger among total strangers
Now I wonder which is truly my land?
The one left behind or the one just landed in?

Oscillating between these two worlds,
My fractured identity looms large
With worms of memories wriggling in my flesh
And a myth suddenly dying in my brain
I am glad to share with my friends here that this poem- My Fractured Identity- is prescribed for the 10th Grade students-English for Junior High School- entitled Voyagers, in the country of Philippines. The exciting thing is that my poem appears among the writings of eminent men like James Joyce, Rudyard Kipling, Shelley, Virginia Woolf, Jules Verne, Jean Jacques Rousseau and the like. I feel it a great honor !!
Nothing achieved, though a lot you tried
Each door you opened, said: Access denied,
Tired from the running 'for and from life'
You are buried under your falling pride.

Ray of hope is seen, amidst a fading sight
This might be the end of this scary night,
But as you crawl closer, you realize:
Combat is not ending until your last fight.

Now that you've given up on hopes
Lost in the darkness, in search of light,
Life wakes you up from the ashes and says
'Get up, till now i was only being polite!'
In the process of learning how to live, negative thoughts often cross the mind.
Busy procrastinating
And watching the day pass by,
Lets go there, lets do that
People say, but I deny.

Thinking about world politics,
And why do people die.
Doing anything for it ?
No thanks. No need, said I.

Hoping earth to be
A better place to thrive,
But not working in that direction,
Ever wondered why ?
chaotic thoughts in a boring noon.

I'll hold a light for you forever
I'll lock this up
Hide it forever
But I will weep
As you have never been mine to keep
Even when we have dined and laugh at life with each other
I see behind
That smile
I'm not yours
Your not mine
Even when we have made love
Our bodys intertwine
and we both have weeped
As time stood still
In that loving moment
I still wish you the very best
And that all the world see the great hairs on your chest
Giggle
That I love so much
Yet you hate so dearly
I still will hold a light in the dark for you
I still walk in the park thinking of you
I still miss you
Should I have stayed and thought it
Thorough
Should I change just for you
No
No one should change if love is true
Time to let go
Time
Time in where another love is lost
It's time
I will wish you love
I will wish you hope
I will hold a light for you forever
I say goodbye
I let go
Time

Forever x
