See this crown, upon my head?
Made of knives, one slice and you're dead
My finger, tracing your neck
Then come my lips
The blade is next
Watch your mouth
And watch your back
Is it love or a heart attack?
Backstabbing isn't really my style
Darling straight in your face will make me smile
Looked you in the in the eyes
Shouldn't be a surprise

Wait for it
The wind that blows down from the mountain
Wait for it silently
To refresh your soul
In the wind there is a voice
A whisper at most
What it says is unknown
But what it means is wholly understood

Exhausted

I don’t really want to be cold
I don’t really want to be in pain
I don’t really want to be fighting

Honestly, it’s exhausting

I just sort of....

I want to be wrapped in a warm embrace
I want to be caressed by someone kind
I want to be affirmed gently

Perhaps it would ease my burdens
Perhaps it would bring me peace
Perhaps it would allow me to rest

Because, frankly,
I’m exhausted

Some night, I'll stay awake,
to hear the coyotes howl;
listening in the dark,
to nightly creatures prowl.
One day, I'll sail away,
to a far and distant land;
and ponder in my dreams,
God's great and awesome plan.
I've always been a dreamer,
a traveler in my mind;
escaping life's illusions,
to see what I would find.
Always searching, always seeking,
for unexpected treasure;
a vagabond of sorts,
in which I take my pleasure.
Some night, I'll board that ship,
from where there's no return;
on that mystery boat of death,
where I'll live again...or burn.

Mountain so high
Please tell me why
Why you continue to grow
The worlds falling don't ya know?
Up is where you belong
If only I were that strong
I'd follow you wherever you go
Enjoy.

Not Quite...

Even when life is fine,
Sometimes reality hits
A blow to the gut
I reel, dizzy and unsteady
If only you could hear my mind
The anguished screams inside
Maybe you’d see
That I’m not quite alright
Won’t you see...?

Blue jewels and crystal wings
Dance upon the lake
The surface like a soapy bubble
And there is where I lay
The world turns against the sky
Passing flourished clouds
My body grows heavy
Yet I remain light
Sinking through a gleaming gate
Into the numbness of another world
Sunbeams build a crystal cavern
Fragments bright and sheen
Ruby melts through a liquid tomb
As cream swirls in hazelnut tea
Gently sunk in sweet abyss
My body rests in the lakebed

But I fall further
Rising beneath the ground
I lay my back upon the bubble
As a breezy welcome chills my skin
Wine has filled the heavens above
Powdered with brown dust
But the dragonfly still dances
And the kindly Earth keeps turning
So if I stay and watch the skies
Time will bring the clouds again

will
I'm swallow'in
things I'll never be
what the world wants

I'm swallow'in
their opinions of me
what society says

I'm swallow'in
all my own thoughts
to keep on breathing

I'm wallowing now
in what I could have been
You can't just keep on choking down on what everyone expects you to be or you'll never be happy in the end.
