Unequal

When you divide the people
You divide the power

When the power is divided
The problem multiplies

This is the algebra of the situation

The situation that poisons water
The situation that pollutes air
The situation that kicks all of the jobs out of the neighborhood
The situation that kicks grandma out of her home

Then blames you

blames you For needing to drink the poison water
blames you For needing to breathe the polluted air
blames you For needing to work for money
blames you For needing to live to have a life

There is no Unknown in this equation
There is no Hidden variables

There is only a forced set of inputs
To create a predetermined set of outputs

We the people refuse
to be functions of this destructive equation
We the people refuse
to be canceled out in this demented calculation
We the people refuse
to be anything other than people

and we the people demand
what is due to all
that are people
that are human
that are of Earth.

your poetry
used to
speak of
her eyes;
crystal orbs
of hazy umber
as you crave
for her
cunning
glance
upon
your mundane
existence

your art
used to
capture
her hair;
the summer
threads of silk
every inch of which
you desired
to hold between
your fragile
fingers

your dreams
used to
remind you of
the way
her lips
curl to a smile;
you could only
wished
to be the one
behind it

she taught you
how to
crave
desire
and wish
i taught you
how to
compromise

His eyes are locked on you,
Daring you to flinch.
Everybody's starring,
But you cannot give an inch.
Everything you have--
Everything that matters--
Has  been melted down and made
Into your armor, now battered.
The fight for him is just for sport,
A way to gain some scraps of honor.
The fight for you is for a life--
Consequences far more dire.
You cannot turn and run,
There is no option of surrender.
The loss of souls or souls conserved
Won't be how victory is measured.
Neither choice would end this fight.
You're fighting everyday.
And ending confrontation
Won't take that fight away.
The odds are stacked against you,
You'll die before the fighting's done.
But you will stand your ground
Even if you're the only one.
For it wasn't choice that put you here
But rather unlucky birth.
And this fight will take your life
Even if that's not what it's worth.

You made me not only feel butterflies in my stomach
But all over my face and the pit of my neck
The tips of my lips have become ecstatic
Causing my breathing to become erratic
But I will never do the same to you

Because you are a black hole
Taking everything I give to you
But I will never ever be enough
To satisfy your bottomless hunger
Draft draft draft

The rarest orchid bloomed in my garden, to you I cheerily gifted,
it's fragrance you heartily inhaled, making me smile,at my poetic best
a rose, deep red, a representation of your heart,I suppose, you presented,
but, did you pause, see how was I transformed, when I deeply kissed it?
How expressions of love often misses the mark, due to subtle differences,
even when two people are passionately in love....
