Seema Aug 2017
The sun shines so bright,
On the half-dead meadows near.
A little drizzle,
Creates, glares of peridot
Waves in like colourful flare

Two grey spotted doves,
Pick on the sprinkled rice grains.
Splash and drink water,
Cool off on the water spurts.
Wild doves fly in everyday.

Standing lone and firm,
on a deserted swamp land.
A tall, dead tree sways,
with well exposed skeletal,
like buried in a graveyard.

As her tears fell down
On a faithless seed unknown
A hope for a life
Upon a lifeless lone plant
Only to revive again

In this harsh summer weather,
The difference is,
It's the greener ones rather
The usual half dead leaves

With visible red ink writes

A beautiful quill
Freely dancing with the breeze
Landed on a branch
A bird picked it up quickly
And flew in the open sky

mildly self conscious
gruntled about the present
estranged lovers meet
smile over stifled yearning

A motion of change.
The wind, switches direction.
The clouds bump in roar.
Frogs, croak in the near valley,
while the heavy loads, downpour.
