Look around it seems so quite
Finally, the sound of birds can be heard.
Look around there's no car outside
Rushing to get to the finish line.
Streets are empty, the air is fresh
Breathe in and rest.
.
Everyone is home it feels so nice
Like someone gave you back your childhood Time.
Use this time to catch up with the friend inside. .
Don't go out please stay inside
We can fight only if we stand unite.

The alarm wakes me up at seven,
I get ready to face another day,
with nowhere to go even
the whole day at first seems grey

But birds peep through the windows,
worried about the change in norm,
as the world goes through it's lows
I stay indoors during the invisible storm.

A sweet boredom clouds my mind
to maintain my sanity
I travel to any tranquil place I find
in my head and away from earth's gravity

I write, I paint, to go out I refrain
I hear the birds chirp, from my window ajar
I count the twinkles of that lonely star
I observe things I earlier looked in disdain

I try to pluck words from the new garden
where plants imbibe love of the sun
undisturbed, attended only by its own brethren
and my scattered thoughts do not cast shadows
while I watch another sunset at the horizon.
Penning some thoughts after a long time now that my mind needs some exercise more than anything else.

What happened to those eyes full of laughter
Passed on one generation after

Be ceased for all,
For not following something that had to be done afterall

So people its time to wake
do not put each others life at stake

Time to be aware
but don't to be scared

It is time to co-operate
as something cannot be any late

Practice hygiene
that essential lesson which was taught in tween !

Nobody is keen
to live in quarantine

But it has to be followed
to continue life which is mellow

As they say,a person one in a million
One with a queer attitude
Will help us avenge this feud

But what about the remaining billion
Can't they uproot this villain!

So the virus shall die
To complace all those cries

For that shouldn't go vain
As it all revolves around our brain

Whatever might be the fate
But remember it's never too late

However far we stay
But we want to accomplish the same

The thirst must be quenched
For once the Earth must be avenged TOGETHER...

I've never realised,
that I can laugh as hard
with my family,
just like I do with my friends.

It spreads through your coughs, your touch and reach
Infecting the old, the young and meek
Killing the rich and poor in just weeks
This year gave us a killer
Called Covid-19
I reek of famine and havoc
I infest upon the masses
I choose not one but all classes
All windows sealed, doors all locked

Through these emptied streets
I strut forth, the people bends its knees
Behold my wrathful grand
As you close your folds at my command

As the living eye gazes upon me
All they could fathom is but a reflection of theirs
Reflections from irresponsible, greedy heirs
Of the thrones where they drink merrily now bare

Behold for your capital punishment
You filth of the human kind
Now with all power due to you
I put on my crown as I relish the view

I lost my grip again
The cut-rate pirate promised prose and protection from the maniac
Matters to me not never
I SCREAM!
This tattered trailer tailored to the times forever forgotten
Freaking out, falling again
This echo echoes.  Intensity.  Intergalatic.
Spacially challenged to challenge spaces in between
This gap, I grasp, at grapes, grown guilty
In soft soil
That pirate Bill wrote me into his will after taking his pill
He said in final words "I'm slipping"
I slipped again
This time the fall fractured fragile fasteners binding me.  I'm fragile
As fermentation fixes my faulty circuits
Crickets, chirp chirp chirp
As she says "Take your pills"
As I scream
I'M SLIPPING
This poem is a play on word/phrase palindromes, alliteration, and mid-stanza rhyme schemes.  I think everyone has been to a point where they just want to ***** a series of words to make themselves feel better.  I hope everyone else that suffers from mental health challenges appreciates this poem and finds an outlet that suits their individual needs and desire to let some of those inner thoughts free

A split second is all it takes,
to end life and its happiness -
however much it makes.

Be careful on the road,
for every road does not take you to your destination.

Speed is an enemy,
as much as it is a friend.
At times an angel,
at times a fiend.

Make sure you don't fall off the track earlier than you have too.

Ensure your life flashes with happiness - not in a split second before your eyes.
Be careful on the road, your life is tied with many others...
