crashing waves comfort cold feet embedded in sand
adjacent to the lake-house and beneath the weeping willow
the tide falls along with the sun and a silence is brewed
until twisting vines of old christmas lights are sparked on the gazebo
a rush of noise and voices begins to fill the void that the night provides
whispers of love circulate among singing crickets and dancing frogs
eyes grow wide with the promise of an endless adventure once his hand is taken
and quiet footsteps become running stomps of laughter and joy into unknown lands
the two disappear from sight and agree not to look back
I know today is the first day of Spring, but I'm hopeful Summer will arrive fast as this reminds me of a childhood summer...

a hollowed wind rustles paper scraps
blowing ideas along beaten dirt paths
swaying words in vacant coves
moving ink across charcoal roads
syllables blossom over flowering hills
until they finally land on a note next to a bottle of pills
on a deep oak bedside stand
where you can find sleeping remedies clasped in a jittering left hand

and as he fall into darkness to meet his creator
the poet's process is recycled and will be passed along yet again
for his words will travel until they find another suitor
and as a hollow wind picks up in the night
paper scraps are rustled...
The depressed man's words will travel in cycles until they latch onto another host. I hope you've enjoyed.
I know love by how the tears
glistened in my mother's face
as I came home crying one day

I know love by how a passing
stranger changed a fellow stranger's
life with just one look of sympathy

I know love by how a beggar feeds others
before feeding himself despite his
insides telling him to live for himself

I know love by how a young girl
overcame the mean kids in school
with her kind words knowing she did not
deserve it all

I know love by how my best friend
desperately stopped my hand
from pulling the trigger
gun, pressed coldly to my head

I know love by how you
whisper sweet melodies
in my ears
as I write
this poem for people
to see love everywhere
This is coming from a girl who was often called emotionless/cold hearted several times in her life
If I ever see you again
It can never be to soon,
You must find me here
Beneath the ivory moon
Where my love lies every year.

It's just how much it hurt
When you said goodbye,
Seeking an answer above
I'll wish a rainbow in the sky,
Just sing me a lullabye tonight,

Sparkling stars shall offer you light,
For this one last night, for life,
And in the grassy meadows
Will you come and seek me out?
When stormy weather clears,
Shall there be soft white clouds?

In the end all you will find
Is a golden flower with your name,
In my youth I was blind of fears,
But now I'm calling as in vain,
Be it one day? A thousand years?

I just can't handle all of this pain,
I will be here for my whole lifetime
Until I'm in your arms some day.
It's better to have lost my sight
Than to miss loving you for life,
I dream of your love every night,

Love forever,
Even for 1,000 years in a day.
