I am in love,
With your
Darkness.

You seduced me,
With your mystery.

Everywhere I look I see your face.
Grandiose,
yet humble.
Old as time.
Luminous freckles,
Stretch proud,
On the infinity
Of your body.

You inspire me,
And humble me.
I am enchanted
By your
Lullaby
Of silence.

I know  there's some that fear you,
Stricken by the omnipresence.
I feel sympathetic,
For the ages
Of misconceptions.
Whispered in your name.

I am staggered
To my atoms.
By your honesty.
Your projection,
Naked and dark,
Bare and bountiful,
Beautiful.

And I know one day Ill join you,
Up in your excellence.
This is heartfelt
But it's nearly 3:00 am in England
And I think it's time to let nights lullaby take me.

Art is a beautiful thing. It portrays the deep emotions of the heart when words elude the tongue. It speaks when the grandiloquence of words lose their flavor. Suffused with hope and angst, art creates vibrancy in a black-and-white world.

We sat in a bar
We got stinking drunk
We left in my car
Were both full of *****

We drove through the night
Both talking some trash
I ran a red light
Head on was the crash

I lay in the street
The blood would not stop
A beer by my feet
Approached by a cop

Body was shaking
Heart dropped when he said
"Ain't no mistaking
Your best friend is dead."

I was arrested
*** put in a cell
Strength was then tested
In suicide hell

Very next morning
Inside a Courtroom
People were mourning
I shared in their gloom

I looked at his Mom
Eyes teary and sad
Her world without charm
I knew she was MADD

"I am so sorry
Through hell I will trudge
I wish it were me
May God be my judge."

I have no defense
I'm going away
Jail's one consequence
I sadly must pay

The price it will cost
It's steep as can be
I carry a Cross
Too heavy for me

I sit in my cell
I see your son's face
In suicide hell
I constantly pace

My heart can't go on
My soul has no *****
My best friend is gone
Because I drove drunk.”
my friend wrote this because this happened to him

looked at you,
I didn't just look, to look.
I really looked at you.
before I even had the chance to soak you in,
my eyes were already engraving every detail of your face
into the back of my mind.
so now, when I close my eyes,
there you are.

You were more radiant than the stars
with your elegant shine
you rose every morning
placing a tender kiss
upon my crimson cheek
you were the one
the one who started a fire
wild, uncontrolled and fuelled with emotion
I let it burn
and I shouldn't have
but I trusted you
I trusted you to take me out
but you just watched me burn
you were a setting sun
in the mist of summer
and the saddest
most awful truth
I have come to find
was the fire you started
was just for fun
you were the arson
who set my heart on fire
but instead of taking me out
you doused me in fuels
just watching me burn
On the low tide marshland I run
to catch the miracle from close
deft splash of colors godly done
river bridging twin gorgeous rainbows!

Now I can leave in peace
without a regret to die
having seen fulfilled my wish
of a double rainbow on the sky!
I'm so happy.

Me?
I eat embers of sunshine for breakfast
and wash them down with rain clouds.

Walk with me
on golden fields,
down paths built of love
and we will share
every breath of
this journey
with each other,
step by wondrous step
~
Take my hand
and we shall follow the sun
wherever it may lead,
along edges of time,
uncounted minutes,
shadows changing shape,
for this is ours
to keep forever
~
Sit with me
and we will write
poetic gardens
filled with fragrant,
beautiful blooms,
leaving petals of our words
scattered about
cobblestone walks
for all to see
~
Wander with me.
bringing smiles and laughter
through forests of
evergreen dreams,
underbrush desires,
finding the next vista
painted in the beauty
that awaits us
~
Stay with me
for there would be no need
for looking back,
we would have each other,
our words, a whole world of
new memories to make
endlessly

To be
a footnote
in the life
of the one
whose story
you wrote across
every inch
of skin,
is perhaps
the greatest injustice
of all.
